And almost as ugly as a Tesla Cybertruck! Great job, kia.

Because of course it is. Everyone’s forgotten how to build anything but SUVs. 🙄

Is this for apartment dwellers who own EVs? I don’t think that’s a very big owner demographic.
Most people charge their car at home and/or at work. And since most cars have “tanks” that go over 200 miles when full, they rarely need to charge in town.
Where more chargers are needed are at comfortable stops on interstates and highways. Places like Starbucks where you will be finished charging by the time you stop, plug in, grab a bite, and use the restroom. People need fast chargers on long trips out of town. Not a ten minute stop at Kroger to pick up bread and eggs.
They keep building these charging sites in town, and at places you don’t want to hang around — like gas stations. And they sit empty.

Just please don’t make us bail them out when this pops.

No imagination needed when you’ve killed off your product and are just milking it for whatever revenue is left.
All new leadership?

Bari, no matter how many times you do this sort of thing, Trump’s still not going to sleep with you.

Can someone explain to me when Presidents suddenly got the power to tariff everything? I could have sworn this was congress’ role.

I wouldn’t mind AI data centers so much if they would just pay their fucking bills like the rest of us. When I get my electric bill (and water bill) I’m charged on a ladder where the more I use, the higher the pricing gets. But for some reason, data centers gobble up all the available electricity and water and yet are given a discount and a subsidy to do so??? Make it make sense.

I’m hoping that as 3D-printed concrete houses become more cost efficient, we will at least see less damage to personal property and possibly a reduction in insurance rates.
But until we start burying the power lines, and cutting more firebreaks, damage to the surrounding environment and wildlife will just continue.

I recently watched an analysis of “2010 The Year We Make Contact” and I have to agree with the premise that this is actually an interesting movie. It’s got a stellar cast that put in good performances.
I also love the retro futurism vibe with CRTs and Apple IIc’s. This has to be a conscious choice to make the audience relate more to the situation by bringing in some current day tech. The future feels less far off, and less sterile.
Its sin is in trying to unravel and ground some of the mystery of 2001. But the HAL of this film feels a lot more like the creepy AI of today, and less like magic.

I will never understand why later in life Crawford leaned into caterpillar eyebrows and clown face lipstick. Some stylist must have really hated her.

Maybe so, but this is the first article I’ve seen about the series that’s almost made me want to watch it. 😆
87% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes!

Such a horrible title for a decent movie. Then they tried to rename it for home video and just made it worse! It’s like they hired the team that names Microsoft products.

I found the other person who liked the Solo movie besides me!

Enjoy your vehicle built by slave labor and underpriced to make you dependent on China.
Canada could import affordable cars sold in Europe, but all anyone cares about anymore is saving a dollar.

“Ya know the Ford _____ is one our best selling vehicles, what should we do with it?”
CEO: “Cancel it.”

??? I don’t understand what you’re trying to say here.
I’m telling you that the car doors act like a loudspeaker, amplifying the call outside if the car. Everyone in the neighborhood can hear your private conversation about your affair, or urologist appointment,or whatever. If you think sitting in your car talking over bluetooth is going to give you some privacy, it’s quite the opposite.
ICE: Its ok to perform an immigration raid in a church. It’s just not ok to protest that raid in a church.
