The Trump administration is drawing up “secret lists of terrorist groups inside the United States,” Senator Elissa Slotkin said on the floor of Congress yesterday — the first such reference to the effects of National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 (NSPM-7). The directive, as I’ve reported, lays out Donald Trump’s policies with regard to equating “anti-Christian” and “anti-capitalist”…

“The Trump administration define[s] domestic terrorism incredibly broadly,” Slotkin said. “It suggests that any group that talks about anti-Christian values, views they don’t like on migration or race, differing views on the role of the family, religion, or morality could all be grounds for labelling an organization as domestic terrorists.”

Meanwhile, I see idiotic Confederate dumbasses posting stuff about how Republicans are “standing up for American freedoms”.

Bull-fucking-shit they are. I didn’t see Democrats step on one freedom of any Confederate dipshit. I see Republicans positively gleeful about stealing away freedom from MILLIONS.

They do realize that about 38% of Americans are not xtian, right? What the fuck does “anti-Christian” even mean? Is it “anti-Christian” to not want any affiliation with your little book club?

What you’ve got to realize here is the freedom they’re talking about is their freedom to oppress “the others.”

Oh yes. They use the Southern notion of “liberty”, vs. the Northern notion. They really do think that if they are not privileged and set up to rule over others as “less than”, that they don’t have “freedom”.

They “realize” that 100.0000% of Americans are Christian, because all non-Christians are not Americans regardless of citizenship.

Palantir was built to do this, and does so instantly, nothing to develop - the tech is built.

Perhaps a problem is that nobody is surprised anymore.

If you dont jump when a loud noise goes off anymore, you might not get out of the way of what makes it.

Maybe fake it til you make it. Act shocked about it and tell coworkers that you’re terrified.

Or just read one of the forefathers’ diaries, see if they managed to articulate the tipping point that began the slope towards revolution and attempt to replicate it?

(I’m speaking generally about this situation, I’m not an american either)

How can I get on it?

I assume keeping my phone on while protesting at the next No Kings priest will help, as will posting “fuck you, rapist pedophile corrupt asshole felon Trump” here…

But how can I be sure? 👀

I’m ready to fight but don’t really know where to direct my anger

Starting violence is exactly what they want you to do. I’m not saying it’s never the right call but ultimately a civil war will be bad for everyone

Yeah that’s fair. I’ve been through the ACLU de-escalation training and stuff and won’t actively start violence at a peaceful protest or anything, but if I get targeted because of said protesting and end up being targeted by ice (I’m a green card holder, not a citizen) then I’ll go down fighting for sure

I’ve been party to a few of these exchanges recently, and between open citizen violence and letting things go on as they are, I think I am now rooting for our society to just collapse under its own weight. And with enough mismanagement, it certainly will (already is). While that will produce a great deal of suffering, at least it could provide a chance to fix some things.

maybe a chance things will be fixed, or will they just get worse? I think the latter is more likely

They already have the camps and a secret police. All they need now is the Zyklon B to start really crossing off names.

It’s not secret that it’s happening. Palintir is well known to have the contract to built the list. The secret is who’s been flagged as scheduled for termination or deportation out whatever.

I don’t think you have to warn anyone about that one

About the only useful thing about the American government at this point is for them to tell you information that everyone already knows about.
