lol. I’m already in the process of leaving the country because I’m not a fool. After this past year, the direction of the country’s next few decades is crystal clear. Right wing authoritarian rule for the foreseeable future. You’ll find out in October when some form of military control happens. Martial law or probably “Freedom Law” or something ridiculous like that. Voter suppression left and right. It will overwhelm the courts, nothing will get done, government shutdown, martial law. Or something to that effect.

Let me disappoint you: they will write history. It will be forgotten. Ice as a whole will never be punished (by the government or the people). The things they do will not be considered crimes in an actual court of law. There will be no convictions of agents seen as “doing their job”

To be clear, I don’t like any of that… but that’s the world we live in now, and no midterm elections are going to fix that.

Having protests banned isn’t a sign of it being effective. Having a protest accomplish the goal of the protest is the sign it is working.
