Not OP: I can’t give up gmaps because none of the open source maps I tried allow me to search for business name or a type of business (gas station, grocery store etc). I am sure they would guide me wonderfully but I would need to look up the address first and that’s less than ideal when driving.
I actually don’t hate it. I like that it’s not aggressive looking like every other car on the market. And I absolutely dig the interior. I would have hated it in a sports car, but it works great in Luce.
I started with Creality K1C and I am generally happy - prints all the fancy filaments like PA6CF with no issues. It’s an enclosed coreXY printer with an extraction fan so I can vent all the fumes through the window. Runs open source firmware that can be modified by user. If I wasn’t limited by space, I would get a K1 Max. It needed some upgrades - most of them you can 3D print.
If I had more money to spend, I would definitely go with Prusa Core - for the ideological reasons mostly.
Depends heavily on the state, but even inspections in the strictest states do not compare to the ones in Europe. Some states have no inspections whatsoever.
I use a black permanent marker on all blindingly bright LEDs. Most of mine were actually sticking out so was able to paint over them without messing up the rest of the device. Tones them down nicely, but you can still see if it’s on.
