Wow, they went from a gluttonous ball of fried chicken half the size of your head, to a perfectly reasonable portion size that would feed an adult. Outrageous.

No, because too many Democrats can’t even recognize genocide when it is happening right in front of them, and while I understand that we have to “play the game” in our two-party system, Democrats have given me no reason to support their party at a policy level.

One one hand, South Park has expertly satirized current events for its entire existence, and the writing is genius.
On the other hand, it pretty much gave all the worst school children in the 2000’s permission the scream “fag” and “jew” all the time because they didn’t understand that Cartman isn’t supposed to be a role model.

Yeah, but you’re in one of the most hyperbolic communities on Lemmy, why are you expecting level-headedness? In here, every fender bender is a violent assault.

It sounds like your argument here is that AI animation is so legitimately great that it is on par with talented animators. Quite frankly, fuck that, no matter how visually polished AI animations may look, they are generally quite soulless and flat.
The real issue is that people are so reflexively anti-AI that they accuse anything that registers any doubt at all of legitimacy of being AI, even without evidence. This has hurt many legitimate artists who were forced to reveal more than they wanted to about their creative process just to prove to detractors that they didn’t use AI. While hatred of AI “art” is very defensible, directing that hate any anyone you have a mere suspicion of is just making things worse for real artists.
And yeah, the visual clues that something is slop are getting more and more subtle, and that does pose a problem for our ability to quickly differentiate, but that absolutely does not mean than that the slop has equal value to human-created works. Anyone arguing otherwise is just telling the world that they are anti-Human. I which case, I recommend taking a look in the mirror and considering that maybe not all humans inferior to a GPU, just you.

It’s not an installable app, it’s a alternative web frontend admins can install on an instance. You basically just log into a different URL on the same instance domain, and get a different UI from the same data.
Smiliar to Elk or Phanpy for Mastodon.

This is weirdly horny.

No, the size of the sensor matters, and phones are mediocre cameras. I will die on this hill.
I feel like shitposting is the one place where AI art is fine. Nobody was doing real art here, that’s for sure.
Okay, hear me out. Actually use it as a gimp mask, for BDSM stuff. Put on big headphones and play your own voice back into your ears full volume while someone edges you and slaps you around a bit, forcing you to moan into your own ears super loud if you can’t keep your mouth shut and stop complaining, while also muffling your cries so nobody but you has to hear it.
Anyone know the brand?

You’re not coming across as someone who cares about women. You’re coming across as someone who loves guns so much you’re willing to use rape victims as a prop.
Guns don’t make women safer from rapists. If you disagree, you better come with receipts proving otherwise, because you’re the one making the claim.

Are you responding to something specific from this article? I feel like we might have read completely different articles.

Low-T isn’t even a real problem worth testing for like this. I’m not against testing for it when medically helpful, but the very public nature of this announcement sounds more like an attempt at signalling pro-masculine virtue rather than to tackle a real problem.
This nonsense is antithetical to a healthy military. Republicans always make the very self-destructive choice of using the military as a testing ground for their weird ideas, in a way that disincentivises employment with it.
When they wanted to purge trans people, they started with the military, because it was the biggest thing they had any control over. Lots of talented people left for the private sector with damage to morale as well. Now they’re projecting their male fragility delusions onto the military in hopes that they can become more masculine and therefore “strong”.
None of this does anything to make the military better at what it does. It’s like Hegseth looked at UFC fighters (some of the most useless dumbasses in existence) and decided they were even stronger than our troops. It’s like the military has low confidence in its sexuality, and is overcompensating. It’s a bizarre look.

So you’re just going to parrot Elon Musk’s public statement about why he doesn’t need permission? Get outta here!
He has more than 2x as many turbines than is allowed for a temporary install. The article makes it abundantly clear that these things are illegal.
Musk doesn’t have permission to do this, no matter what excuse he gives.

To be fair, Oakleys have long be associated with toxic men, so this was on brand for them.

Look, I actually want smart glasses, but there is absolutely no reason for there to be cameras in them.
Just give me a HUD so I can follow transit directions or something. I’m not trying to take creepshots.
What really frustrates me is that governments and big business have normalized surveillance everywhere, and now big business is basically selling wearable spyware, and this is all quite egregious.
But, one of the biggest ways to combat this is with “sousveillance”, or the surveillance of oneself. This has proven to be quite effective for motorists who own dashcams, and could be useful other places as well. But AI-peddling billionaires have ruined the reputation of that kind of thing entirely to the point where even open source variants of this tech will be rejected by the public.
So businesses, the government, and the police have the right, and in many cases the obligation to record your every move in public, but you aren’t allowed to record your own surroundings in return.
I don’t even think this is selfish. It’s only selfish to put yourself first when you have kids who depend on you. People choose the responsibilities they take on in life, and you don’t owe the world anything here. If you don’t have kids, you’re able to do more for yourself, and anyone who calls you selfish for it may actually be a bit jealous, in which case they should reassess their own parental priorities.

Yeah, and if you want the boycott to stop, petition your government, because they’re the reason Canadians are boycotting American goods to begin with!

Yes, there’s one less fascist in the world, and the world is a better place because of it. But I am not celebratory about it because of the rules. If anyone asks, I wasn’t celebrating. I do not have a playlist already lined up specifically for these events.
“I hope your day is as pleasant as you are”
If you get mad, it’s an admission that you’re an asshole.
