Imagine if we flipped the tables. If it’s all on women to have and raise kids and nothing more, wouldn’t that mean a man’s job is to get laid/donate sperm, impregnate someone once, and that’s it? If that’s all there is and he’s fulfilled his role, there’s no need to stay alive after that. Like a male bee, exploding after mating.

Humans are not bees, you don’t rip some lazy bum’s dick off as a teen, use it to birth a town of sterile slaves that provide for your every need, and keep using that same sperm for years while birthing over a million babies throughout your life.

From an evolutionary perspective you’re successful if you have more children, that have reached breeding age, than the average. Humans today have a pretty good chance of survival no matter if they have both parents of not, so the only factor in that equation is how many children you can make.

So if you actually flip the tables, the man’s job in the developed world is to make as many babies, and if he makes less than 3 he’s a failure. And they should feel lucky because the guys in Niger/Sudan need to make like 15 or 20 (8-12 is the average).

If you want an animal metaphor instead, think of those jungle birds that spend 99% of their waking time working on breeding (bowyer fe).

Why bother with society, hobbies, learning qand growing?

And following that logic: to make more children to a wide variety of women. Men will literally learn something about every band just so they can hit up women with band merch.

It sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous. We’re all so much more than our biological equipment. I know I’m preaching to the choir here, I just had to rant for a moment.

It sounds ridiculous, it is ridiculous for humans, but that exact process is why we’re able to choose not to breed.

  • I think I’m going to move my patch to a sunnier spot too, for some meatier buds. I just go out there and lay under the plants sometimes it’s amazing.

As much sun and air (through pruning) as possible, both are signs for the plant to grow those nugs as big as possible because they have the best chance to be pollinated.

I also want to make some hemp cord so I can make friendship bracelets 😂 I want to use “every part of the buffalo”

I hope you don’t plan to do it by hand. I seriously doubt you’ll have fun whacking rocks with branches in a stream for days just to get some scratchy twine. Less than a century ago it was common for women villagers to do it in my country.

That’s a really cool quote, but which countries remained revolutionary for more than one leader? Maybe Vietnam, Iran, North Korea, and Cuba?

Yugoslavia died with Tito, Libya was murdered alongside Gadafi, the Soviet Union survived the death of Lenin but I’d hardly call it revolutionary, China turned into a veiled capitalist as soon as Mao died, and so on.

So statistically you can kill the revolution by killing the right revolutionary like Robespierre

  • And you have the audacity to blame them for polluting the environment.

So I should be fine with Chinese companies doing whatever they want in my country?Tire factory releasing toxic waste directly into a river? Not a problem… The absolute ecological destruction from a copper strip mine? It’s an improvement over farmland and forests…

The infrastructure cracking might just be your prejudice, meaning you already believed they would be low quality.

Sure buddy, 16 people dead from a restored roof is my prejudice. A railroad bridge with breaking supports must be my racism. Tofu dreg practices like filling cracked foundations with foam must be the standard in developed countries? Multiple sections of the highway being closed down for renovations less than a month after the opening ceremony? Standard practice. Experts saying a newly opened tunnel will collapse is just panic I guess…

About slave labour, Chinese labour is paid more than Indian labour but I’ve never heard anyone call Indian labour slaves. It implies, it’s just CIA propaganda to bad mouth China. To be fair, their low wage is enough to live a better life than most Americans since everything is so cheap in China.

Read again, PRISON labour. And I don’t need the CIA to see the prison camps with my own eyes, and I most definitely don’t need it to smell the camps in the winter since they have no hot water. Again, standard practice in the developing world, we’re certainly not the first to have imported Chinese prisoners…

But while we’re on the topic of slave labour, we’ve got that too…

    https://balkaninsight.com/2024/03/13/modus-operandi-chinese-firms-trail-of-debt-labour-exploitation-in-serbia/

    https://www.euractiv.com/news/european-parliament-denounces-chinese-influence-modern-slavery-in-serbia/

Can you guess which Chinese company was developing the highway I mentioned is using prison labour? You won’t believe it, but it’s the one using slave labour…

  • Sure, they built a shit load of infrastructure here as well. For example we had the most expensive highway built by Chinese prisoners, and paid for by Chinese loans. It not only started to show wear less then a year in, but there are sections that are literally expected to collapse.

We had the most expensive reconstruction done by Chinese workers, the ceiling collapsed and killed a bunch of people.

    And so on, etc…

Now they’re in talks to turn over every remaining national resource to them, to cover a part of the great work they’ve done so far, while Chinese companies are literally releasing unprocessed toxic waste into rivers.

I think I prefer one over the other.

It’s nice to have a preference in the taste of the boot standing on your face…

  • Yeah it’s great we built the most expensive highway in the world using Chinese prison labour, on Chinese loans, and it’s falling apart less then a year in. It’s perfectly fine that there are a 1000 different schemes draining the budget and literally killing people with tofu dreg construction. I guess we should feel lucky Chinese companies will take over national parks, waterways, and exploit every single resource until there’s only a toxic wasteland left…
