Yet again, pirates get the better experience than the paying customer

I have yet to play half life 2 (waiting on my son to get the motivation to help me beat decay, I’ve beat the other expansions)
But I can’t imagine that half life 2 doesn’t hold up when the first game is a masterpiece that holds up better than pretty much any FPS released after it

For the most part, once you have your benches fully kitted, PVE only seems kind of boring. The only thing I find as “ratting” is shooting a dude on the terminal.
I find it to be quite dishonorable. I don’t mind losing a PVP duel, but being shot when I’m defenseless and just trying to help the two of us extract and get back to Speranza gooped up, is rat behavior

That’s a fair point to disagree on. Fundamentally, I see it as a console that can also do PC stuff as opposed as a PC that can be played in the living room.
The price is probably more competitive for those who think of it as a PC first, I just don’t know if that is a market segment that can lead to a profit.

They’ve played us for absolute fools
This is called twisting your faith to meet your politics.
It is ignoring that the Bible commands to “do not oppress foreigners as you were once foreigners in Egypt”. And to obey God over man.
And it is ignoring that the Bible has multiple stories of disobedience to authority that is in opposition to God (Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; the Apostles being arrested in the book of Acts)

On purpose? Not likely. Also I don’t expect them to be able to handle save and open of files using the web versions of M365.
But I think they would use libre office and not question that it wasn’t Microsoft office since it would open their files like they are used too.

I wonder why no one likes tankies?

Americans don’t like the USA taking these actions (well until the big fat orange blob actual does them, then his base instantaneously flips their opinion to being for it)

With a rumored $1000 price tag, I don’t think it matters how well games run. I think they’ve already priced themselves out of their potential market

They just want to see what she’s packing in those jeans
I mean the fact that the road makes no sense, the angle of the sign makes no sense, or that the words on the bus branding are fake didn’t give it away?

Apple computers, which is a higher market share than Linux, are more expensive. That’s what I was getting at.
Windows became dominant because of enterprise software sales 20 years ago. Now everything runs in an electron wrapper that can run on any platform or in the browser.
PCs don’t even have optical drives anymore. No normal consumer even knows how to install a program today, let alone is considering legacy program compatibility when making a computer purchasing decision
I am qualifying my statements based on interactions with my coworkers of whom I deploy and manage their PCs. I could probably install mint on 50% of their PCs and the only reason they’d notice is because Microsoft office looks different and is called Libre Office for some reason

98% of Windows users, use windows because that’s what the OS that came with the computer they could afford.
98% of windows users probably don’t know what version they are on or even what windows is

I hope you are running for office if you are looking for the perfect candidate
I can see why you would say that. But it’s genuine. Just has the off glossy coloration that slop typically does

I agree that if you completely take away their agency that it only makes the slop look more attractive but I also disagree that sentiment that “you can’t”. Technically it’s true. But that doesn’t mean we ought to give in to slop as parents. Low effort slop has been around since before AI. Find ways to teach the importance of genuine creative content and cultivate a preference for the real creative works with your children.

I can understand your viewpoint and agree with it even that Fortnite is overly engineered to sell overpriced cosmetic items to children.
I think where we differ is that one wrong (regular Fortnite skins), doesn’t excuse another, worse wrong (brainrot lootboxes and expensive mtx that can be lost)
The whole operation should be shut down, I think we agree there. Fortnite is actually the majority profiteer in this case, the “experience dev” only gets 34% of the revenue from the sale. Infuriating how hypocritical epic is after fighting apple and google over these practices only to do the same thing.
At least Apple and Google try to protect their users from this kind of thing
When you are a solo dev, there is going to be some level of temptation to just do testing in production. You can’t just write tests for every edge case.
No idea if there are enough users to maintain a stable and nightly branches.
I must be lucky. I don’t know if I’ve run across a single bug in 2.5 years of voyager usage
