241·2 years agoBasically the major credit card companies are forcing their puritism and morality onto others. They are forcing these services that host nsfw content to remove or hide it or they won’t be allowed to use the credit card services. That’s where the big debate of censorship comes in. Where its okay to see violence but god forbid you see a boob.

22·2 years agoGoogle is just looking for good PR because their plan is to sell assemblies instead of individual parts. As an example, say on the phone’s motherboard a particular chip died, instead of replacing just that one piece Google wants to to sell you a whole new board at a cost so high that most people would probably consider just buying a new phone instead. They even attack Apple by suggesting governments should ban part pairing so they can look like the good guys.

Take away the photoshop and the drawing tablet and those artists will still know how to draw using pencils and paper. Take away the AI and those that use it won’t know what to do.
Well there was the incident with voice actress Erica Lindbeck where someone used AI tools to make a song using her voice. That doesn’t fall under any laws currently but it’s still an asshole thing to do, without first getting permission. Or how about when someone was making AI art in someone else’s style and even tried to credit the original artist as if they were the creator.
Maybe that’s because their own class is stealing and emulating their art without permission, sometimes even on purpose as a “fuck you” to them. In this case it’s not just the corporations screwing them over.
