Not everyone have static IP and device that can work as server. But yeah, it’s not like you can’t find work around: something like old android phone or spare notebook with pinggy on top would do the trick. Still, point stands - as for now it’s less convenient option.

Music services still pretty useful. I’m using deezer for example, it can stream lossless audio and kinda okay with “radio” mode. Used spotify before, but it infuriated me by suggesting same music I already heard for 20-50 times. It’s like at some point it just traps you in your own bubble of 100-200 songs.
The alternative would be downloading thousands of albums in flac and uploading to multiple devices. Plus you need to add new music, which includes searching for that mentioned music. So yeah, nah, I’m okay with paying subscription for now. Until they eventually go to shit like video services did. Then we will need to come up with “popcorn time” alternative for music I guess.

1·19 hours agoI spent 2k cycles building my colony in OxygenNotIncluded. It fully automated and self-sustained. No one will ever see it.
Yes, but actually no.
2 things:
- Dislike button itself not "wired’ to any visible/meaningful count and only seen by video author (which is funny, cause whole point of hiding dislike count was promoted as “beneficial to mental health of channel owners”)
- If you using youtube dislikes — it replaces that button with it’s own, counts presses on its own and uses own logic to show “approximate” amount of dislikes on video: it’s not like it knows real count, what I’m trying to say

2·3 days agoIn my region cans cost significantly more than plastic (ability to recycle costs premium I guess), so I usually buy couple of cans for guests and one big plastic bottle for regular use.
Also I have similar dragon toy.
I was making the joke, but if you want to be picky — fight this guy, not me

7·3 days agoActually, I think dualshock works, it’s dualsence that have issues. Also, it works okay (I tested) in CachyOS, so whatever settings they made to udev rules or whatever — fixed it. Or they may just used old version of bluez, which is also a workaround, but you need to install insecure and 2 years old version at this point.
Also-also, it works fine via USB.

8·3 days agoOh, we doing “what doesn’t work for you” comment section? Count me in!
My LG TV consistently broken on multiple amd devices on linux. Something to do with how LG implemented HDMI protocol and how AMDGPU driver percepts it. I think it have something to do with color bit depth, cause all DEs allow to set 16 bit color (which is insane, not supported by any software nor my hardware and shouldn’t be a allowed as option without some special flags in my opinion) but like, there no protection and some DE/WM even defaults to max available bit depth, which in turn straight up doesn’t work and result in black screen.
Windows or nvidia — those work fine.
Another pain in the ass for me — connecting dualsense controller via bluetooth. It connects, then just disconnects. There a workaround that includes fetching it’s ID via terminal, then using commands to connect and entrust that device. After that it connects fine. Until you need to reconnect it, that is, cause it stops being recognized. Apparently that was fixed like, a year ago. Yeah, right.
Another pain for me would be steam client on wayland, but Valve finally started working in that direction so I will hold my complains for now.
And if you use Google keyboard it will automatically learn how you for that will show it which words to pick in the future. Feature works so well in fact that you never need to clear that cache ever fan month

Yeah, nah, you not beating the allegations here. Clearly you on the LGBT+ spectrum somewhere.
Dunno if all slavic countries have it, but at least in russia we called it “okroshka” — some form of salad with kvass/beer. Looks distantly similar to what on picture and yes, said to be enjoyed on hot day.
Nah, I was joking. I tried 3 apps this month:
- Fet — shows you ads on every move. Even to check your gallery you need to watch full screen ad. Patched this out by luckypatcher - still shows ads now and then. Swaps are limited in free account. No commenting either. No one answered to my messages, nor messaged me. Uses imperial system instead of metric, you can switch it if you verify your account apparently, but I couldn’t: my country not supported.
- Bumpy — couldn’t bare onboarding video that bugged out and started showing each time I launch app. Like, straight up unskippable video about “how great this app is” for about 3 minutes. Also, profile strictly moderated, couldn’t even put my discord/telegram, got blocked. Also-also, uses imperial system instead of metric (I live in Europe) and you can’t switch it at all.
- Velvet — paid account required for most things, “Delete account” button throws 404 error (you can’t delete account), “Support&help” doesn’t react (probably dummy button and not mapped anywhere), there no profiles unless you max out range (capped for free account at 50km I believe) and then it will show one profile - app just a fraud.
So yeah, nah, I’m done for now. It’s not even dating itself that sucks, but even experience of getting there.
“not gay enough” apparently is a thing now
I really should try grindr one more time

Khm-khm, arm boards, khm-khm
No like, for real, why 16gb arm board like O6 now costs almost 1k euro? 32gb version right now 1400 euro on aliexpress. FOR WHAT? Finest chinesium?
And “affordable” Raspberry Pi with as much ram as my toaster (and similar CPU at that) now costs more money, than regular small mini PC on x86.
I need to dig into that a bit more, but I’m not sure if it will work with NAT on ISP side (with is a common thing at least in region I’m from).
