Games@lemmy.world•What are your favorite Tactical RPGs?English
6·10 months agoAnother good one that’s more recent is Triangle Strategy. Positioning is important. Great story. Very similar to FFT but FFT is better overall. Still a great game and more modern.

7·1 year agoOne of my favorite games of all time. For a while, I would use the cheat to move beds and stuff to make my own house. And spent the day baking bread or collecting eggs to make money. It was later that I realized this is why I liked playing the Sims.
Also, every kid is different. Some are easy to take care of but others are stuff of nightmares.

7·2 years agoYeah, if anything; Musk is likely an example he’s aspiring to be.

politics @lemmy.world•Biden resists allies’ calls to exit race after debate performance: ‘I know I’m not a young man’
51·2 years agoIts not about how old the candidate is, its about not having other valid alternatives when you dont like the candidate chosen for you.
Edit: just to make sure the point gets across. Imagine going to a restaurant, the waiter asks if you want to drink moldy water or toxic industrial waste. You see behind him lies an array of normal, refreshing beverages but sorry, you weren’t given those choices so you can’t have any of that. Thats basically this election.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are your favourite moments in videogames?
3·2 years agoFor me, in Chrono Trigger, the most exciting moment was Frog splitting the rock with Masamune. I was shivering with excitement when I saw that.
whoosh
Reminds me of Kung Fu Hustle

Environment@beehaw.org•EVs are lowering Bay Area's carbon footprint
1·2 years agoBall parking the number but that would be saving about $30-70k? Wouldnt make a dent in the amount I would have to pay to live closer. But even if I could afford it, I might still choose to live where I am instead of closer, given different circumstances. There is a lot more to why people choose to live farther from work than just money.
I would take anecdotal evidence though since thats all we got. Do you know anyone who would move closer to work if there was better “bike infrastructure”? Is it currently not possible to ride a bike to your work place from a nearby home/apartment?
Just to add, I would appreciate better public transit way more than bike infra

Environment@beehaw.org•EVs are lowering Bay Area's carbon footprint
1·2 years agoI highly doubt that. If I was able to choose a location closer to work, I wouldve done so already. Truth is most people have to settle with a long commute because they are unable to live closer to where they work. Having a better bike infra wouldnt help with that at all.

Manga@lemmy.ml•Akira Toriyama has passed away at the age of 68
2·2 years agoYou mean Chrono Cross? Chrono Trigger was already designed by Toriyama,
Side note, what’s gonna happen to Dragon Quest from now on??
Laughed so hard at the names
Just realized anime confirmed, and from Madhouse! Hyped!
This is why I mostly only watch their limited series, since its always one season and done. Not always good (eg Bodies is nowhere as good as Dark), but at least it ends.
You might enjoy the live action movies then. I watched it a while back so I don’t recall too much of it, but it was enjoyable for someone who’s read the manga multiple times.
Just started this one. Most authors have one big hit but Asakasa Aka just keeps outdoing himself. Don’t think Love Agency will be as popular but its been solid so far. Pretty sure a love “square” is forming. Can’t wait to see how it plays out.

6·2 years agoAny Highly Advanced Medicine Is Indistinguishable From Magic is yet another isekai story, but it tries to be more “realistic” than most. It’s about a modern doctor in isekai world but goes into details about procedures like a regular medical manga. It reminds me of In Another World Where Baseball Is War, A High School Ace Player Will Save A Weak Nation which is a manga about baseball in isekai but they also try to keep it “realistic” and play it out like a regular baseball manga.
I’ve bee liking these mangas where they go into granular details about modern day stuff but in an isekai world. It makes the story that much more realistic and relatable.

4·2 years agoTrillion Game is like the manga-version of Silicon Valley, sorta. Glad its serializing again.

Agree. This thing is getting way too much attention. Let’s not feed their egos by letting them think a right wing youtuber’s death is worth our time.
