DeGoogle Yourself@lemmy.ml•Manga Artist Loses Entire Google Account After AI Flags His Own Artwork on Drive
1·1 个月前That’s why you always keep a USB drive backup and never use google drive (or atleast just use cryptomator with google drive)
I choose linux because:
- Installing a programming language doesn’t require setting up a path, the package manager does it automatically.
- It’s 100x easier to be private on linux than on Windows or macOS.
- There’s no AI in the notepad app.
- It just works.
I like to use both, I use MPV as my main player but if a format isn’t supported I use VLC.

Linux@lemmy.ml•A replacement for dolphin that can look just as pretty?
4·2 个月前My dolphin takes ~0.5 seconds, I don’t really see any problem, but, if you want try something PCMan file manager updated instantly, I just don’t like the icons but it’s up for you.
If it helps I’m running Kubuntu 26.04 LTS
PS: “Files” by “The Gnome Project” has better icons and UX and updates instantly-
Yeah, I literally got locked out for “suspicious behavior” (me changing from gmail to protonmail and being more active on the platform) and then it said for me to change the password and reddit wouldn’t allow me to. I fucking hate reddit.
I love having shizuku, and canta, because when the day comes, I just have to connect shizuku and using canta I can delete google play services and just start using microG
They’re anti-profit lol

Yes, quad9 is a DNS provider, meaning the way to configure quad9 as your DNS provider is the same as configuring cloudflare but instead of 1.1.1.1 it’s 9.9.9.9 (hence the name quad9)
edit: if you’re using android or a browser (or really anything that uses DNS over https), the URLs are different, but you can find more info at https://quad9.net/
