Reminds me of some illustrations I’m the “Heart the city below” RPG where some buildings and character aesthetics are blended and presented as one. Zoomed in at the top and wondered what a cool concept it is for a dungeon map for rpgs where it roughly maps to a skeleton which they piece together as they move forward. Which I am sure it must have been done multiple times in this vast world of TTRPGs and beyond.

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Richard Dawkins thinks Claude may be conscious and he treats it as an intelligent (female) friend
20·3 months agoUnbelievable, the simple point that he is chatting to a Search engine+ that replays arguments that have been scrapped evade him completely? This guy used to fight for a rational world now he is a AI bro calling his AI Claudette like that’s deep?
Also, if he doesn’t write a book called the AI delusion he is leaving cash on the table
Got colleagues on their 50s that live care free with a career and no young children to worry about this is bullshit - people can engage with culture whenever and have a great time. This culture over values youth for sure

News@lemmy.world•Ben & Jerry's co-founder Jerry Greenfield resigns, claiming parent company Unilever 'silenced' its campaigning
14·10 months agoEvery time you buy the ice-cream you vote for the company to exist - if you are not happy about the company’s actions in Palestine or elsewhere the next step should be very easy to figure out.
In fact Unilever has a t least another couple of brands you can try to resist to show that maybe this shit show isn’t what you want in the world.
Nothing says “let’s change” to a capitalist like a dripping sales.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Have you ever hired someone just because they were more attractive?
1·11 months agoWas in a talk with one of the co founders of that British folding bike company and he said men and women prefer women selling them bikes apparently
So no children or any obligations I suppose- good for you

4·1 year agoCreative writing starting from your DnD stuff. See world anvil - a world building platform for inspiration but then use obsidian which is free to worldbuild a bit then write stories. Meditation is a cool one as well, slowing things down helps some times. Photography with your phone will take you outside more. You will feel limited without a camera but I think it can still teach you to see the world differently. Of you like game design you can still be a writer for games so pursuing this as a skill?
Warhammer - people at a local club have told me it is “heresy” to even refer to one page rules - a newish and very innovative wargame. That’s the lifestyle players of course not everyone, the people who paint 20h a week while listening to Warhammer audio books play 8hs a week and do fuck all besides that. I have met loads of cool people in the hobby too, but omg those guys

Thanks for sharing, I’ll have a look at the photographer. You reminded me of a book I i used to have called “that’s why it doesn’t have to be in focus” or smth which featured quite a few artists need to find it again and see what types of pictures my brain enjoys at first glance. Hm…
Don’t think I’m there yet but I would love to cultivate this type of awareness of the anatomy of a picture. Thanks for sharing.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•How do animals in the Peppa Pig universe work?
2·1 year agoIt is called double-coding and it is targeted to you as the bored grown up.
As in I genuinely don’t know if the fediverse tech helps with ai spamming - my assumption is even if it ever became a real threat to mainstream social media or big tech it would be flooded by ai bots anyways
Do people think there is a reason this won’t happen to Lemmy eventually?
Wasn’t even aware of Murena, will def have a look, thanks for sharing all that info!

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•If we humans have a whole range of microbial life living on our skin, do other animals have their own similar micro fauna covering them?
7·1 year agoThanks for that, can I ask if there are any resources you would recommend for finding this type of content in a convenient format for children to consume? We do look at national geographic and documentaries from time to time, just thought I would ask in case there is an epic youtube (peertube??) channel with fun content you have come across.
It is an android, which is moving towards an ai for everything trajectory which might be a privacy nightmare, I wonder if the next step of the fairphone journey is to break from android
