Solar Citizens have an email you can send this week to all State and Territory Energy Ministers who are meeting to discuss the fuel crisis.

Let them know this is also a cost of living crisis for people locked out of cheap, clean solar power. You can ask them to:

    Tell Solar Citizens to get this onto Facebook (yes, I know, but it’s where the average voters are and messages get through) and the people they’re looking for are the Gherk, Martin Bella and The Frackman project. They are what they’re calling themselves ‘the Sensible Centre’ and they’re doing exactly this; trying to get people to email Senators and MPs about various subjects.

    They’ll get people to email in about it. I already have a while ago, this has been something I’ve wanted to see for years; legislation that puts solar and batteries on rentals and public housing and makes the benefits available to the resident. This would give the most struggling Australians the same benefits Australia A I like to call it has.

    tbh I wish they’d just unlock balcony solar, seems like a quick easy win to help out all the people in apartments

      You’d need the states on board as they legislate body corporates and you’re banned everywhere as of now hanging stuff on balconies, cant even air dry your laundry in many places and are forced to use a dryer.

      This has to be a state driven thing, they are in charge of electricity generation laws as well.

      Body corporate legislation in Australia is atrocious and while the push towards medium density housing is needed the legislation is mostly abysmal.
