I just got the update this morning. Looked kind of ugly but I can manage. When I touch the screen to see the time, that digital clock font they went with looks real ugly to me. Opened up the phone app to see a missed call and hit the button to try the new unified phone layout experience and switched straight back to the classic layout
I do not follow apple update news so this was pretty jarring
People are slow to adopt an OS update that makes their phones worse??
That’s odd, right? Downright puzzling.
Normal people, particularly old ones don’t like visual overhauls.
There are several things since the update that I think are just objectively worst like how tabs work in safari that still bother me since the update.
Particularly when those overhauls are a huge step backward in usability and readability.
You can change the layout on safari
Surprised that Apple allows use of the old layout still be thankyou I had not noticed it buried in the settings
:))
Well, it doesn’t add anything people want, and iOS 18 is still getting security fixes.
Had I known better, I would never have upgraded. It’s getting less buggy I admit, but still….
My phone may already be doomed to iOS 26, but I’ll hold onto macOS 15 as long as I possibly can.
