    Good damn, Techno Viking.

Been a long time since I was graced with his presence. Much obliged

I’ve seen it so many times by now but never ceases to amaze me how perfectly it happened, like it was choreographed. People bringing him water and then just falling in to follow him as he dances down the street. Doesn’t even look back.

The dance might have been planned and the guy butting without notice got caught in the video before everything progressed. And so they didn’t cut it out, maybe?

Pretty sure I read an explanation and it was choreographed. Now… If I could find it…

I’ve been down this rabbit hole before. This is the only source I know that claims to have any actual info. Could be all made up of course.

I was getting “made up for a joke” vibes while reading that but this line clinched it :

“Yeah, I got angry at one of the lads and I punched a tree. But the tree fell on top of my supervisor and broke his leg. They don’t make speed like that any more,” he laughed.

          Good read though. Thank you.

I mean, that’s more than reasonable. The video poster made over 13k in ad revenue and merch sales, against the person’s wishes. Imagine if someone made you go viral, and then sold merch with your name and face on it. It’s a privacy nightmare.

That’s how facebook made hundreds of billions of dollars. This guy was a legit artist who got sucker-punched by the courts for not getting contracts signed by everyone in-frame.

It should be one or the other not one for billionaires, zero for artists. But - whatever the German is for c’est la vie.

The lawyer of the Techno Viking asserts that his client had never been a public figure and that he did not want to become one.

His half naked client dancing in the middle of a busy street has a strange way of practicing his privacy.

Existing in a public space during an event does not imply a desire to become a public figure.

No, but unfortunately not wanting to become an internet sensation is not going to protect you from becoming one. I respect him for not wanting to be known, but none of us is in control of that. What we do in public may be seen and shared without us having a say in it.

Sad fact: The Techno Viking got fucked over by the guy who recorded this, who claimed ownership of his image and made merch without permission

Less sad: And they went into a legal battle about it, and the viking won
