After the absurd, recent proposal calling trans people some sort of organization rather than, you know, just a kind of person, yeah, I don’t blame any of my trans & NB folks for leaving. I’m NB and the idea that trans-ness is equivalent to “Nihilistic Violent Extremism” is absurd. It’s equivalent to labeling gay people violent extremist, people of color violent extremists. The only reason pessimism or nihilism might appear in someone trans/NB is because the society or people in power do this shit. People just want to live.

All of this is vindictive people looking for excuses to bully others while they can. Trump has cankles, Patel protects pedophiles, and fuck this regime.

I just came from a board meeting of Trans American Union and the CEO of Trans was very shook. He went straight to his office and had a 45 minute Element meeting with the vice president of Antifa and the managing Director of Woke.

First they came for the immigrants, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a immigrant.

Then they came for the comedians, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a comedian.

Then they came for the transgender, and I did not speak out— Because I was not transgender.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Nah, there’s plenty of marginalized groups in-between. Homosexuals, Muslims, the disabled…

The point is though that we all need to defend each group that is picked on. Each of these battles is our battle, no matter who we are. Only through solidarity putting ourselves on the line for the sake of others can fascism be resisted.

I’m not there yet but I’m starting to look into what would happen if I do this. I’m currently living abroad (moved a little over a month ago!) and it’s seeming more every day like I may not be allowed to safely return

You could always move to Europe and fight the Russians in the inevitable third world war. Or go to Australia, but their government tend to be total dick heads.

Personally I’m thinking of moving to Antarctica, that seems nice and far away from everyone else.

Don’t feel guilty for fleeing. Those who care about the cause* fight for those who can’t contribute as well. Everyone deserves the same care and protection. Today’s it’s you, one day it might be somebody else.

      Fun fact, not true.

Canada’s safe third country agreement does not apply to americans. There are currently americans in the processes of seeking asylum in Canada, and asylum courts have heard asylum claims from american citizens.

This is the stupidest authoritarian take over ever. Right wing cunts screeching on about “they” and “enemy” and all we’re fucking doing on the left is eating ice cream and watching cat videos on the internet. Like… how the fuck are you mad at people who don’t even know you exist?

Identity politics has no defense like a trade union strike in class politics has. With AI gaining traction capital is looking to remove your hand from the last power you have.

Fascism never went away. The focus of it just came home and i am sorry. 20 years ago we could still agree that the enemies were “the terrorists” and simply watched while our government bombed the ever living shit out of “barbarians”. The amount of bloodshed that we as a western society have perpetrated should have really made us look at ourselves but we did not, because we still had these great values we pretended to matter at home.

Now autocracy rises and gleefully builds on the fascism that has been festering unchecked.
