Notably you only get the first spell you cast on your turn, so after playing this, your opponent gets the first free spell.
in what scenario(s) would someone want to run this? the only non-grouphug one I can think of is when you have a way to punish free casts (Vexing Bauble springs to mind) in play; but even then, it hits you as well and they could just not cast their spell for free. Six mana draw seven is still OK, I guess lol
I have no clue when you’d play this. I probably wouldn’t, but maybe it can work in commander like you mentioned.
Perhaps on a Dimir mill deck, after playing something like Doomsday Excrutiator so you don’t mill yourself?..
