For me, I am hoping to see discounts on:

  • Steam Deck OLED
  • Expedition 33 (probably worth the full price but I am not sure if the timing based combat is for me)
  • Fantasy Life i
  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

-A price for Stray that reflects its playtime.
-A price for Cyberpunk 2077 that I’m willing to pay (not sure what that is, unhelpfully)
    -A good price for Balatro
-Oh and if A Hat in Time could be discounted…

Just wanted to say: Expedition 33 is worth experiencing just as a work of art. If you don’t vibe with the combat, they just made story mode easier in the latest patch so you can just focus on the narrative.

I personally not only found it worth paying full price for, but actually chose to upgrade to Deluxe Edition to support the devs.

Fun fact, story mode is canonically called the Jennifer English mode. She wanted to play it but knew that she couldn’t parry, so the devs included a story mode for her.

        *Jennifer English memorial mode**

        **according to Ben Starr

I just wish you could adjust the parameters separately like in the new Doom. Expert damage with Jennifer English parry timings. Would be great for accessibility in general if more games did that.

There are mods for adjusted party and dodge timings if you’re on PC, but I completely agree that that would be an amazing accessibility option.

I quit playing the game even though I was loving it, because I was streaming to my TV and the latency made parrys un-fun.

This might actually get me back into it

Flight Simulator 2020? at a price that reflects how long I would spend with it. I’m still salty about the time it was accidentally 80% off instead of 20% and they snatched it right out of my shopping basket.

Regarding two of your items, the Steam Deck OLED is out of stock, and last I heard Valve isn’t expecting to have more until the end of summer. As for Fantasy Life i, it’s been selling extremely well, over a million copies sold in its first month. I wouldn’t expect to see a significant discount on it for a while.

    • Elden ring at 50% or less
    • Some small detective games like Obra Dinn or The Observer (got those already, but anything similar)
    • Any of the other 100+ games on my wishlist at very good discounts

“Case of the Golden Idol” is exactly that. “Lucifer within us” is also a contender, but the story somehow doesn’t feel like a full game, more like a prologue to another game.

Okami to $3.75 out of historical interest. It’s not really my kind of game, but as a fan of The Wonderful 101, I’d like to trace the genealogy of the wonder-liner back to the celestial brush.

It will also be nice to own another Kamiya game.

Yeah, the intro is too long, but apparently the HD remaster makes it skippable.

My issue with the gameplay is two-fold: (1) I don’t typically enjoy the Zelda-like, semi-open-world discovery, and (2) for a Kamiya game, combat is surprisingly too easy?

I’ll probably have moderate amount of fun playing it, but I don’t predict I’ll hang out for the 100% after, which’s why I’ll wait for the historical low.

Not much out that I’m looking to play, there’s some slightly older survival games that I might have a go with like valheim and enshrouded. I’ve been told the new Dune survival game is good, but when I asked what the hook was, I was told it was “Dune like”, which doesn’t do a lot for me, though if anyone has any feelings on it I’ll happily listen.

There’s some new factory builder that looks like satisfactory but with wave defence like factorio, I’m very interested in that but forgot the name.

I’m also interested in the new hello games game (light no fire or something) but I imagine that’s a few years out yet.

I like playing games with my friends (rather than against them), and I like stuff that basically lasts as long as we want to play, survival games are great for my group because of that and 7 days to die will always be one of my faves.

Any recommendations for things I should look out for are appreciated. (already had our fill of Ark, Grounded, 7 Days, Empyrion, Minecraft)

Final Fantasy IX, if it’s cheap enough. I beat the game on PS1 but I’ve been itching to replay it on Steam Deck.

Maybe the Lunar remaster or Deltarune if they drop low enough, but it’s kind of doubtful because they’re both new.
