Usually that term doesn’t mean you drive around them. Usually it means malls that are not enclosed. Sometimes called “shopping centers”.
The one nice thing about Ohio is drive through liquor stores.
We do have drive through convenience stores. But I like to park and go inside.

When they introduced the Geo I got to drive one into a mall spot. Was fun to do but they gave us strict instructions to drive slowly. Anyway, R.I.P. Geo.
