The metro in Copenhagen is unmanned and automated. But the tracks and the trains themselves are protected by walls so you can’t physically get onto the tracks.

Not all monarchies are the same
It wobbles a bit though
Dont forget that dogs developed eyebrow muscles in order to do the puppy eyes better.

11·1 month agoIs throwing a paper plane harassment and assault? Your country is more fucked up than I thought. As an outsider it is incredibly tiring to listen to Americans harp on about how their country is in shambles and there’s nothing they can do about it. It’s pathetic.

It has improved massively, at least in the west. Saying “somewhat” is a massive underestimation and undermindes the fight of women for hundreds of years.

25·1 month agoThen take to the streets. Or whatever else you can do, you can always do something. Throw paper planes with notes on them at the White House. Whatever you do, do something, instead of sitting on your hands and saying “woe is me”.

Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•I found this ancient banana under my kitchen shelves
4·2 months agoThis happened to me but in the student drawers we had in primary school. I was not a particularly ambitious kid so i never used that drawer. It wasn’t until the end of the year that I realized that the rotting smell in the classroom had come from my drawer where someone at some point (might also have been me) put a dead crab.

It is that bad. The Americans who move to or visit Europe need funds and incentive to do that, which does not overlap with the poorest (and fattest) Americans.

linuxmemes@lemmy.world•We're catching strays at the No Kings protest!
2·2 months agoYeah, people often forget that most regents were at least to some extent elected. If the nobility/rich landowners didn’t want a specific regent then they were thrown out and a new one was found. Usually within the same line, though. A regent rarely had absolute power. For example Denmark has had a monarchy for over 1000 years but less than 200 of those were an actual absolute monarchy. Most of the time the regent was put in check by the nobility/landowners and the church etc.
Since I turned 30 I write in the margins of books I read. The better the book is the more notes. Its much more engaging.

7·2 months agoNot necessarily. Plenty of kings were elected by the nobility.
I often think about the people I used to spend hours with every day playing games online. I wonder whether they think of me too.

It takes practice, like anything else. Doing something makes you better at something and not doing something will make you worse at it. In this case you have been conditioning your brain to need ambient noise. There is a line between it being a small help on some days and it being a crutch you’ve built your life around. Sounds lile you are in the latter camp.
