Opt-in means that the feature is disabled by default and until the user enables it. This is NOT what Firefox will be doing.
Opt-out means that the feature is enabled by default and can be disabled by the user. This is what Firefox will be doing.
Whether the user actually uses or not the feature is not a factor in determining if it is opt-in or opt-out.

In my experience, LLMs constantly generate bad code that needs to be thoroughly checked, to the point that writing by hand is more practical.

I can see it in the modlog, banned 23 hours ago from worldnews for spam.
They seem to be banned from multiple communities in different instances.

They are not so dangerous, in more than 200 years there are only 5 deaths documented as of 2016 ¹ (I can’t find a more recent source), and as of 2023 there were 79 potentially severe lesions for 5337 castells ².
