Awesome Games Done Quick featured an RBR RSF exhibition. They built a wooden sim rig on site and everything. The driving was all done in VR with static hood cam view for the steam. One stage was even run with live pace notes provided by one of the commentators. Super cool to see!

If you must play racing games (especially of the more sim variety) with a pad, I always preferred pushing the left stick all the way forward and rotating it along the edge to steer. I find it much easier to dial in an angle that way.

I don’t think I’ve been more surprised to see a game on a GDQ schedule than Richard Burns Rally. The 20 year old brutally difficult rally sim with a dedicated player base to this day. I can’t wait to see someone actually be good at it live!

Recently switched from sway to niri on my laptop and loving it so far. The tiling+scrolling behavior feels very natural to me.

I’m saving up now to afford the lease on a nice certified pre-owned Dell in a couple years. My buddy Dave works over at the dealership so I should be able to lock in a good rate.
