Do we have any idea about whether a potential EMP weapon could be used to immediately deter or disrupt israel’s attack? In other words, is there any indication that this is a weapon that could be used in the middle of israel’s initial strikes, or would it be saved for the days or weeks after?

This is really scary stuff. It feels so fucked up that israel can spend three weeks and counting, openly preparing their attack(s) on Iran, in addition to their defenses for the consequences of that attack (e.g., deploying one THAAD and asking daddy for more), and all anyone can do is wait.

As they have throughout the genocide and israel’s continued escalation, the Resistance has shown incredible patience and restraint - some would say too much, but idk if i would or could say that.

At the very least, it sounds like the leaks have been complicating things for the entity, for example by reportedly delaying their attacks, and hopefully that buys the Resistance more time and opportunity to prepare for what follows.

Sarah raises an interesting parallel (one that echos Aime Cesaire’s takedown of colonialism, imo) between the disregard for our shared humanity required to accept the ‘911 a day’ COVID-related death rate to a similar disregard for humanity that allows them to accept today’s genocides. One night, around the time when the conflict between the land defenders and the RCMP C-IRG unit (which the Canadian feds created for the purpose of brutalizing land defenders) reached its peak, the land defenders allegedly snuck into the workplace and destroyed the fuck out of the equipment and worksite.

Over a year has passed, and the pigs still have no idea who did it. I remember people claiming it was an op - that the RCMP or the workers sabotaged their own equipment to gain sympathy and support, but I (personally) don’t think that is the case. However, it wouldn’t be the first time Canada’s RCMP destroyed the equipment it was tasked with protecting and blamed land defenders, they literally bombed a site in Alberta the 90’s.

There’s a new documentary called Yintah that tells the story. I’ve seen some of the land defenders and other activists promote it, but I can’t vouch for it myself.
