Lemmy@lemmy.ml•I really like it here. However, almost 90% of my feed is either posts about Reddit, or Lemmy/kbin meta analysis. We need actual content and communities over here!
2·3 years agoI agree with most others discussing here - give it time and people will talk about something else. It’s just fresh on everybody’s mind. I already see content in my feeds shifting to be primarily about other stuff. Yes a lot of meta discussion, but less so than yesterday or the day before. There’s that one guy who needed to stop pooping for 3 days straight for instance (and that was fucking hilarious).

Reddit Migration@kbin.social•The best way to protest against reddit is simply to not interact with Reddit
6·3 years agoI’m tempted to post a nsfw pic with both my penis and breasts visible at the same time to r/mildlyinteresting or something. It’d be funny, like “oh hey this is what a penis looks like when your estrogen levels are above 200 how mildly interesting”. It would increase engagement, (engagement that reddit cannot monitize), but more importantly, it’d be funny

Moving to: m/AskMbin!@kbin.social•Why Kbin insead Lemmy?
0·3 years agokbin has a sweet community search tool that not only searches kbin magazines, but also Lemmy communities and even Mastodon groups. This means you can easily find communities all across the #Fediverse for any of your interests.
This convinced me to switch to kbin from lemmy. Looks like it has a better “sort-by-hot” functionality too far as I can tell.
The nice thing is, I can always switch back, no cost to me

Reddit Migration@kbin.social•Made a post on r/ModCoord yesterday why mods should keep their subs closed no matter what. it reached the top of the sub then it got removed lol
1·3 years agoIf all the unpaid moderators quit and get replaced by paid moderators - that would be a win for workers rights, yeah?

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Lemmy.world is now the #1 lemmy instance with 37k users!
1·3 years agoWho wants to bet the bot farms are run by Reddit? Haha! Regardless, degenerating from them is easy or so I hear (I don’t envy the admins having to defederate from bot farms every 20 minutes though!)
