SPEED DREAMS Open Source Motorsport Simulator

We are waiting for you in our credits menú. Send us a photo of your setup, or of you playing, developing, or modding Speed Dreams… your drawings, whatever you want!

We are glad to hear that. Please share your views on the game with us! https://www.speed-dreams.net/en/links

Note that if you use Wayland you must use OSGgraph (Options --> OpenGL -->Graphic Engine). The problem is that Wayland is not compatible with our previous graphics engine, SSGgrpah , based on pLib. With Xorg there should be no problems.

Thanks a lot. I hope you enjoy it!

which one do you think we have been playing? https://www.speed-dreams.net/ We have also played great games such as Unciv, Stunt Rally and OpenRA.

Great! Thanks for sharing

That didn’t have what I was looking for, found out the the car category effects the car xml, all sorted now I believe, fully configured xml now and I placed it in a new category. (Lemons class B)
I’ll spend far too much time tweaking it now :)
Don’t forget to share it!

Take a look to these on the SD Wiki (Thanks Xavier for the tip): https://sourceforge.net/p/speed-dreams/wiki/SetupCars/

Why wouldn’t it work? I’ll have to go for a ride with him again.

Omg ya, the beach buggy the tuktuk and a car I converted the slambo, haha I’m sure it felt longer then 11 year since I released them.
Was using a mix of inventor and ac3d to model back then.
Right now modders usually use blender with the plugin to import/export to .ac . Of course AC3D is still a good tool for modelling for SD. https://github.com/NikolaiVChr/Blender-AC3D/tree/4.1

We are happy you like our/your game. Cheers! 😉

We think that your cars are in this collection: https://github.com/longtomjr/sdcars

SuperTuxKart is a great game, and it’s super fun!

We know that our game is not for everyone, as we aim to make a simulation of real car racing (SimRacing), but we even have an arcade difficulty mode that may be more suitable for all kinds of not so niche audiences.

I think you have explained it perfectly!

mmmm, not .

It was something that needed to be done, but it has taken a long time to check the source of many of them.
You can find it (lastest stable) on Flatpak package, and also in debs for Debian and Ubuntu.
