Just discovered an old (2011?) album by a band called BOY, after hearing a ridiculously catchy song called “Lucky Numbers”.

Soccer@kbin.social•There's apparently quite a few of us subscribed to this magazine. Yet at the moment, it's getting very little engagement. What can we do about this? Is it just that it's the off-season and there's not
1·3 years ago@CombatWombatEsq I think it’s probably best if we all congregate in the lemmy.world/c/football community.

Football (migrated to football@sopuli.xyz) @lemmy.world•Newcastle United look to sell Allan Saint-Maximin to fund Harvey Barnes move
7·3 years agoBarnes is very good, but Saint-Maximin is coming off a very good season. Maybe Howe thinks this is as good as he can be and to sell him while his value is maximised? I rate Howe’s judgement in general, but this seems a peculiar move.

1·3 years ago@snugglesworth Thanks. Splitting communities across instances is a problem that is going to have to be worked out by the developers, at the moment it’s way too confusing.

Soccer@kbin.social•Details of Ilkay Gündogan deal 🔵🔴 ◉ €400m release clause; ◉ Contract until June 2025; ◉ Clause to extend until 2026; ◉ Picked Barcelona despite Man City attempts to keep him, Arsenal inter
1·3 years agoGiven his age, Man City were probably right not to match the contract length that Barca were offering. Gundogan has made the sensible choice for himself, but Man City will miss him.

Soccer@kbin.social•Premier League demanded extra assurances Chelsea were not owned by Saudi Arabia
2·3 years agoSo what happens if it’s found that Saudi Arabia do in fact own Chelsea? How does it work with Newcastle competing in the same league? I know the Saudis are claiming that Newcastle are not state-owned, but nobody actually believes that.

14·3 years agoTo be fair, that’s how things used to be on the internet. You’d sign up for various forums or message boards with different accounts. Then it all became consolidated under one roof, and message boards started dying. What’s happening with reddit now shows the danger of that.

Of course it does. How could it possibly work without logging into Plex?
