Forage Fellows 🍄🌱@slrpnk.net•Does urban foraging count? Got some mangoes
2·3 months agoRose-hips. I didn’t forage much since my last moving but I remember in autumn picking up pears from a single tree near my house. They went for underripe to extremely soft in just a few days and I didn’t eat them only to learn afterward that it is normal for wild pear. What a disappointment!
In the city, you can forage tree leaves and also fruits. They are many essence we can eat that are not typically considered “fruit trees”. But cherry, plum and haselnut tree are communs. Herbs, only in quiet place and only the head. That’s the young leaves that are a only a few days old. I choose them in place when lawn are not mowed often so they are a not directly on the ground. And I park there is often different essences than the streets so you can find lots of fruit trees. Semi-build industrial area are also a great place to forrage. There is patches of countryside hidden inbetween ugly warehouse.
Neetles and blackberry are also available everywhere.

I find there is a need for digital minimalism in simple living. Or at least to not keep with the digital maximalism that is pushed to us in today society.
Guess what? I did proof read it but it seems like I forgot every I learn at school. I tried to correct myself and failed… I just deleted the whole thing. English is too hard and I’m not assuming anything.
Ans sometime it is also the grocerie. Not the avocado toast but the rebought avocado because the other ones grew old at the back of the fridge. The leftover going straight to the garbave even thought there is always a serving or two cooked extra. The little treats bought to ourselves every time we go out.
Still not people in poverty but people that can’t both never been bothered spending and build a emergency funds.

That’s brave to keep a simple lifestyle when fame and money suddently come.
Really, the joys of life are very simple. Having a couple of cats around the house, a quiet life, dabbling in watercolors and woodblock printing . . .
He’s one of us (^_^)
