Can confirm. I’ve played the first one on Steam Deck and it plays great. The new launcher is super easy to use as well.

That may be true. But I’m still optimistic about the Motorola partnership. Hopefully it’ll fill a gap in the market to provide a prebuilt phone with less spyware. Maybe it’ll even start a trend with other manufacturers. https://motorolanews.com/motorola-three-new-b2b-solutions-at-mwc-2026/

Not surprising considering Google strong armed their own app as the only option for RCS. I didn’t love Samsung Messages, but I hate Google Messages so much. All the dumb shit they add, like the banana remix button on photos, an emoji focused mode for photos, and recently adding @ mentioning. This isn’t Teams. I don’t want this shit in my text messages. I just want read receipts. That’s it. Sorry, rant over.

This is awesome. I’m definitely going to use this to try out various distros even though I’m happy with Linux Mint. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve read through most of the drama, but it still isn’t clear, or maybe I missed it: does this also impact the Google Play version of SyncThing from nel0x (https://github.com/nel0x/syncthing-android)?

I don’t think so. Their comment seems over-generalized. Sure, most modern cars are too “sporty” now which translates to being more uncomfortable in my experience. But that doesn’t mean I’d lump Japanese cars in the same quality category as American cars.

I did not know about Warehouse. Thank you.

Do you have a domain? If you do, maybe try Nginx Proxy Manager and SFTPGo. I previously used File Browser but the developers made some fairly large breaking changes and I never went back. SFTPGo lets you add accounts easily and I have specific folder setup for sharing with friends. It has a clean interface too. If you don’t have a domain, maybe try Tailscale?

This is really disappointing, but not unexpected. I’ve been using Nova for more than a decade and can’t get used to any other launcher I’ve tried so far. Everyone thought Nova would turn into an ad infested shell of itself once it was bought a few years ago. I guess this is worse since it will cease to function soon (maybe).

Believe his name is Mat. Check out the Techmoan Patreon where he has a few videos about what happened (these videos are free). Seems like he got a bad case of the flu and is slowly recovering.

This was an interesting video. I’m tempted to try something like this one day. But I found it funny how different the methods were compared to Clawhammer Supply. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSShSpM2VF4

Sorry, no idea. Dumped Netflix years ago.

Been running Unraid for almost a year. I was previously running Windows with nearly zero insight into the health of my apps, RAID, etc. Made me very nervous. Unraid makes it all so easy.
I’m running many of the apps you mentioned and the implementation of docker on Unraid is easy to install, update, etc. I used docker on Windows but it was not the same. I’m not a software dev, so I’m not sure why you said Unraid’s docker implementation is hacky. It seems good to me.
The reason I switched to Unraid was I had to add more storage to my RAID and that was impossible in Windows without destroying the RAID and losing my data. I considered TrueNAS, but my understanding is the same is true. They’re supposed to be adding that capability soon ™️ but who knows when that’ll actually be available and reliable. Unraid let’s you add more storage whenever and the drives don’t have to match. I love the flexibility.
I use Nginx Proxy Manager docker to access my apps externally. My SO is not tech savvy and after setting up the individual apps with the domain I have, it’s usually smooth sailing. If I ever need to do any mucking about with the server itself, I turn on UI teleport. I also have a PiKVM but have only needed to use it a couple times. It’s just not necessary with how reliable Unraid is.
My server has an i5-6600 and utilizes QuickSync, which is great. More energy efficient than a dedicated GPU. I’ve considered adding a GPU but I haven’t run into a situation where I need it.
Tldr: highly recommend Unraid.

I tried Flex Launcher on RebornOS but couldn’t really get it to even launch stuff, besides the Plex app. Maybe I need to read the documentation better. I think it’s promising but has a steep learning curve. I don’t need it to hold my hand the entire setup but would like a little more help with configuration than it currently offers post install. My issues could also be due to Linux. I haven’t tried the Windows version.

This is basically what I do, except the quicker way without using ADB to remove anything. Might try removing the junk though to see if it makes a difference. Launcher Manager and Flauncher makes an Onn 4K very snappy. Hard to beat for $20 and a little setup effort. I used to use Firesticks for years, but they get so slow and constantly revert my launcher changes. Finally got rid of them all.
I finally moved to Octopi Launcher a few days ago. I used Nova Prime for so many years. But the AI stuff - I’m done. I tried Octopi before but it didn’t work out since some settings didn’t translate well. This time I was able to replicate most of my settings I enjoyed from Nova. I appreciate there being a viable alternative launcher for my needs now, so I also bought Pro to support them. 👍
