I have experienced this many times in my life. Was always terrifying and painful til someone posted something just like this years ago. Now it’s just painful. Still scares the crap out of my wife every time she sees it happen to me to though.

BioShock 3. Game establishes that it is a multiverse. There are many worlds/universes, but there is always a girl, and always a light house. You did something bad and it caused suffering. At the end of the game, you go back and change something, and create a bright happy future. Everyone sings Kumbaya (literally they play a song called break the cycle). The idea is that there was a single event and everything bad happened because of that. Going back and stopping it prevents all the bad stuff. The problem is, that only works with “Back to the Future” style time travel. The game already established it is a multiverse. So yes, you did create 1 future where everything didn’t go to shit. But because it’s a multiverse there are still an infinite number of universes where things are still very bad, and there is suffering. For whatever reason the writers just didn’t think about that I guess? It seemed really asinine at the time I played it.

Didn’t play 13, but watched a friend play a bit and knew it wasn’t for me. 13 has great music though.

Which FF have you played? I was talking about in combat. Most FF yes, you control one character while running around but in combat you fight with a team of three or four. For non-mmo’s, only controlling one character during a fight is a first as far as I’m aware.

Very different from previous FF’s. You only control one character. Combat is very fun, and you can definitely style on your foes with sick combos. Sometimes basic enemies die too quickly. I enjoyed the story for the most part. I love the characters and the world building is great. The side quests are unfortunately one of the weaker points, which is sad because they make up a ton of the content. Great music and visuals. Weapon upgrade system is pretty basic (number go up). Overall a great game IMO, but I don’t think it holds a candle to FF7 REBIRTH.

Huh. Maybe it was just the one I went to in SoCal. I called ahead and was told it would be fine, only to be stopped at the door and told I needed to buy a membership to access the food court. Guy made a big deal out of it. Like dude, I just want to buy a slice of pizza and a Pepsi, chill.

Food court rules have depended on the location for years now. Where I live the rule is typically, if the food court is outside you’re good, but if it’s inside you need a membership. Never knew about the booze rules.

I don’t think Biden having dementia and spewing nonsense is news to anyone. Yes it hurts him and will draw more attention in audio than in text, which is one of the reasons they aren’t releasing it.

No. Fuck that. We tried that and ended up with a conservative majority on SCOTUS. Don’t do anything to give Republicans or Trump an advantage. I’m just as disappointed as anyone that Biden is the best candidate the Dems can produce, and that his campaign slogan is effectively “better than Trump”. But I don’t agree with making it easier for Republicans to hurt your campaign just for the sake of taking the moral high ground. Save that conversation for when your opponent isn’t a literal fascist. Make the Republicans work for it. If the transcript doesn’t titillate your Fox News braindead audience then too bad.

But they already released the transcripts. They are just refusing to release the audio. There isn’t new information to be gained. Just an opportunity for Republicans to splice and dice the audio for partisan purposes.
