That looks more like it’s mainly focused on server-monitoring, was looking for something way lighter and Subz seems to be perfect :)
Genau sowas hab ich gesucht, vielen Dank!
Looks like it’s quite popular in Japan.
As long as a LLM doesn’t run into a corner, making the same mistakes over and over again, it is magical to just paste some code, ask what’s wrong with it and receiving a detailed explanation + fix. Even better is when you ask “now can you add this and this to it?” and it does.

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•Should I just wait another year or two?English
1·3 years agoWell they already have a nfc checker in the ams.
Not really your question but Revolt is basically a 1to1 copy of discord in terms of UI.

1·3 years agoThanks for the input. I’m mainly worried they rugpull us by doing something like nfc proprietary filament once they have a big enough customer base but the P1S is just killer value compared to any other fdm printer. I commissioned some 3d models this week and have friends who ordered a carbon so I’ll probably get a P1S in a couple of weeks (unless the recently trademarked bambu models are even better value).

2·3 years agoI really want automatic bed-leveling and multi-color printing.
Revolt isn’t federated, every instance is standalone.

Well not until the next catastrophic federation bug gets discovered and abused 💀

1·3 years agoYou will also not get the benefit of the automatic calibration features.
You are talking about the lidar? It can still auto-bed-level without internet right?

1·3 years agoI’ve also seen that bambu sells fairly priced replacement parts themselves and them offering upgrade kits for the P1P gives them some street cred as well. I was mostly worried because I heard that bambu printers upload all models into the cloud first and lose a ton of functionality without it (and the RFID spool thing could be used for DRM filament) but it looks like you can always print from SD card.

2·3 years agoThank you for the detailed reply. What do you think about the new Bambu P1S? Looks like the main difference to the carbon is no lidar and a worse screen and with the ams addon it’s 1000€ vs 1500€ for the carbon. I’m seriously considering getting the P1S.

1·3 years agoFrom what I’ve read so far, the mk4 could support path shaping but it just isn’t implemented in the software yet and so the Bambu prints roughly twice as fast.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Fediverse is 100% Decentralized or not?English
2·3 years agoNo, defederating would block all flow between instances. The problem is with hosting content that you don’t want to or arent allowed to host. Currently if I view a image from burggit, the image gets saved to the monero.town and then served whenever someone else views it from there, which is a problem. If instead every time someone wants to view that image, it gets pulled from burggit again, monero.town isn’t in trouble for hosting it anymore.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Fediverse is 100% Decentralized or not?English
1·3 years agoTrue, guess not caching remote content at all should be an option as well. Then you can just block caching for every instance that doesn’t enforce proper tagging.
