Shitty sysadmin@lemmy.zip•I accidentally sent an email to my entire department using "testicles" in place of "obstacles", how the hell can I fix this?
5·1 year agoSend the same email. And maybe once more. Then have a colleagues reply to it. You reply back. And then possibly people will just assume there was some discussion for the same topic and might just not read it all. Only works if the original email was long.

81·1 year agoIt was very helpful in helping with Python code as well as SQL. Then I needed something in Power Bi. Answer was just no thelpful. It was just lacking. So I went on a google search instead. Didn’t take long for me to find the exact <or nearly identical> answer chatgpt gave.

4·1 year agoInteresting… So according to this ign most of that was awarded in stock. It kind of solidifies the comments about making money for the share holders by cutting costs. Was gonna say would be nice for us peasants to be awarded in stock but then I would feel like crap if I’d get ton of money while others lost their job.

1·1 year agoI’m not so sure your analogy works. Unless you are testing to see how fast you can bring a new test dummy into production. Or you are testing to see how fast you can install new airbags with blemishes and all.

Annoyingly so. I once made a backup. Then to confirm it would restore the system, I deleted everything on root path. as in /
It did as told.
OK let’s reboot and verify system.
Sudo rebootCommand not found
sudo shutdownCommand not found
But it sat there with a blinking cursor on the terminal

This could be bigger than that. Could be mafia on a different scale. Like imagine this literally collapsing countries. Wishful thinking I know.
