Haven’t you noticed every time there is a critical vote Democrats will act tough and then oh gosh look its the rogue dems again to help Republicans along… Like the budget battle a couple months ago where the exact number of 8 Democrats needed to give Republicans enough votes to push their treacherous “Big Beautiful Bill” though suddenly materialized… and then when pressed a few of them said oh yeah no biggie we worked with Chuck and had the blessing… only safe votes i.e. people not up for reelection any time soon. How convenient… Remember that vote gave ICE the budget to rival branches of the military? Would have been a good time to make a stand huh? Not to even mention the healthcare subsidies or the fact that that was 40 days into a shutdown and dems rolled over when they were in the right.
Now we’re getting ready for a Kamala 2028 run that absolutely nobody is asking for, because in my opinion, the party leadership are overall fine with Trumps actions and even happier Republicans are getting the heat for it so why would they want to take power? Their masters are the same masters as Republicans… Same logic to why they scuttled Bernies run to favor Hillary paving the way for Trumps first term. The wealthy do not want a progressive anywhere near the presidency and risk actual consequences to their actions or being able to treat our democracy as their personal feifdoms and destroying it for their personal gain.
We have two right wing parties in America. There really is no true left when it comes to viable political parties, and that’s by design. The ever revolving choices between a turd sandwich and a shit sandwich. It’s why the government no matter who is in charge does their damndest to prevent ranked choice voting. Would makes it a lot harder to ensure its turd vs shit sandwich and without it, ensures we the people never make meaningful gains, and pretty much nothing compared to the wealthy that own both parties.
So yeah don’t ignore reality that it’s an issue with both parties. Republicans are absolutely worse from a public perception and the impact of their actions, but Democratic leadership and a collective of Reps are moving in the shadows to help the Republican agenda from what I’ve seen. And beyond that don’t forget that both parties are captured by monied interests and are functionally the right and left hands for the ultra wealthy and foreign interests that bought them. I generally agree “both sides” is a shitty argument, but thinking democrats are going to save us is naive. Time and again they have shown us who bought their vote, while ignoring those who voted for them. They will happily take your money and smile while mitigating any real impact you could have on the status quo.
The reality is both parties are beholden to their wealthy donors over the needs of the average American.

The DNC is run by corporate democrats which, aside from the hate, racism and bigotry, might well be the on the same team as Republicans when it comes to facilitating the actions of the wealthy in this country. Its why nothing materially changes when Dems run the show. Their wealthy donors are happy with the job they are doing currently, which doesn’t include improving the quality of life for the vast majority of us because it is easier to exploit a populous that is teetering on the edge of ruin. How many of you cant change jobs because you’d lose your insurance? How few Americans have 500 dollars in the bank for a catastrophic emergency? The fact that we have to live in such a precarious position is a feature to the wealthy that allows them to exploit us for their significant personal gains. They don’t see us as people, they see us as a resource to exploit and toss when they are done.
Did Biden push for Universal healthcare, or even talk about it really? What about pressing for codifying of Roe v. Wade? Or wage theft being, from a dollar perspective, the vast majority of theft that occurs in this country? Marijuana reform? Better to leave that as a carrot to try to get votes as they’ve shown in the last 3 elections… What about taxing the rich as a rebuttal to the constant assault on social services that help the most vulnerable in our society yet account for the smallest fraction of the actual budget? Or upholding the law and holding Trump and his cronies for the January 6th attack on our nation, which should have prevented Trump from running in the first place? The wealthy in this country are seeing their wealth explode from a government that today has enabled them to wholesale embrace corruption by attacking regulatory and oversight bodies… wonder why they didnt want Trump to be held accountable…
Biden did things in his term to help Americans to an extent, but these Donkeys in the room are glaring examples of areas that Biden had flat out ignored or intentionally neglected us. The reason to me is that the money didn’t support those initiatives… i.e. not in the donors interests.
Remember that the DNC put Biden there, and if we let them they will happily keep playing the role of controlled opposition as a fulcrum to leverage our nation to the right while giving lip service to the things we care about and enriching themselves with our donations.
I remember when Elon Musk was a “good billionaire” friend. In my opinion there are no good billionaires because the pursuit of money to that extent requires exploitation and abuse on a grand scale.

Their job is to make sure that if things don’t go red, at least they won’t go too blue. A good chunk (and the controlling collective) of the democratic party are more than happy to play the controlled opposition as they rake in your money to ensure you can’t use it to meaningfully make change.
Democrats are the controlled opposition. It’s why they would never give Sanders a fair shake. He would upset them “good billionaires” because going further right is preferable than a single step left for the wealthy.
