6 days ago@daniskarma @BlindPenguin Musk is undeniably a fascist, and the platform actively amplifies right-wing extremism. However, X operates as an entrenched corporate monopoly over global communication; it is the de facto public square.
Maintaining a presence there is a tactical necessity for mass communication, not an ideological endorsement of its owner. Abandoning it simply surrenders the primary channel of discourse to fascists.
And the Fediverse remains an obscure niche. The vast majority of my country’s populace has absolutely no awareness of Mastodon, much less the broader network.
