Think I’ll try getting it setup on Kubernetes and using it for searching documentation when programming.

For the arr stack the best resource I know is https://wiki.servarr.com/ which I referenced for my setup in Kubernetes.

Most projects have pretty good documentation on how to setup their services, in many cases its just the Docker config afterall.

Maybe a easier place to start is a beginner friendly system? Lots of people like running Unraid for example, and they have lots of apps that will make it easier to get into (https://ca.unraid.net/), that might help ease them into it. Being thrown into a Linux terminal might feel daunting, but also a great way to learn.

I think many just need to get hooked on it, then they more naturally feel like they want to customize and try out stuff.

I dont have any guide recommendations, since its been a while since I started. You can probably do some searching on the stuff you want them to setup.

I’ll give a non-answer; if they dont spend the time setting it up themselves to understand it, they are kinda screwed.

There are TONS of videos out there, step-by-step guides, that should be enough honestly. I understand the appeal of LLM though to talk through stuff, but honestly, just give them a good guide. They can ask Googles AI if they need terms explained etc.

I think it was quite an interesting read, got some good chunk of technical explanations too.

Also making a multiplayer RP game (though roleplay focused, not traditional RPG) as a hobby - so this was nice to read.

Af hvad jeg forstår, så ja og nej. Der kan vidst laves moderation på AppView (selve applikationen, f.eks. Bluesky eller Blacksky) eller relay niveau (den der sender data rundt).

Så Bluesky kunne i teorien blokere dig og dit indhold fra deres side, men folk som bruger et andet AppView vil så kunne se de stadig, data ligger stadig i netværket. Men i praksis, så er der kun Bluesky som AppView hoster (AppView gemmer alt data fra netværket så det kan søges frem).

Læste dog at nogen har lavet så kaldte “AppView-Lite” som kun gemmer nyeste indlæg, i stedet for at skulle gemme hele netværket.

Jeg tror når folk får lavet nogle flere projekter der gør det mere realistisk at hoste AppView (jeg har ikke selv brug for at se et post der er mere end en måned gammel), så bliver det mere praktisk decentraliseret.

Men kan godt lide teknologien siden den lyder interessant.

Also switched to Kanidm, and using the Kubernetes operator someone made have made it easy to configure also.

I have custom resources that create HTTPRoutes and then protect public traffic with Kanidm by creating a a OAuthClient per site.

Just seems more of a culture for people just use Chrome. Is marketing the solution or what?

I have seen some bad reactions to Matrix from people, like them harassing others or focusing mainly on their paid customers.

Matrix is what I believe most in currently, but Fluxer might also be a good alternative in the future.
