Guillionaires, I like it!
Been doing it for 20-odd years at this point… you can only imagine

Every time she says she didn’t sleep well, I apologise for snoring just in case.
Every time I’m awake in the night and she’s snoring, I just try and ignore it.

Bear in mind that they’re not all 80, though. The youngest boomers are 61, and it’s not a stretch that they waited until early 30s to have kids, nor that their kids are waiting (or in fact that they chose not to have kids).
But it just goes to show that n=1 is a terrible sample size.
Agreed.

Eh, my mum is an older boomer, and my daughter is mid-Z… I could easily see a younger boomer having an alpha grandkid.
Edit: from Wikipedia Most millennials are the children of baby boomers and older members of Generation X, and are often the parents of members of Generation Alpha.
I feel like she might have a hole in her pocket.
Nah, Peter North
Thanks! I had just done my first ever reverse image search and found that out.
My best guess up until then was he was called Bob France or something 🙂
OK, I’ll ask the question: who’s the first guy?
See my other comment above. They’re really good.
The 5 Minute Baguette is a complete game changer.
Big bowl, 4g salt, then 240g flour, then 1g yeast, then 200g water; Mix it together with a spoon or whatever; cover and leave it 12h. Preheat to 480ºF and bake for 20 minutes.
I bake mine on a lightly-oiled baking sheet because the first time I didn’t have parchment paper and tried wax paper instead (with hilarious consequences).

Sources say it will be slightly smaller, and pink.

That’s a very cool-looking record.

I wasn’t sure about it after the first couple of tracks — I’ve only really listened to Thickfreakness and Rubber Factory before, so those kind of define the band in my mind, IYSWIM.
It definitely grew on me tho.

I think the turntable belonged to my wife’s ex-husband’s parents originally. Not sure how she ended up with it, but I suspect my stepdaughter may claim it one day. Considering how it had been kept, it’s in remarkably good shape. The belt was shot, and I put a new cartridge in it, but otherwise it’s been great.
I got the amp and speakers new in 2004, I believe. Never given me any trouble either, I’m happy to say.

Yeah, at the time CDs were the thing and I didn’t expect to be able to get a new turntable easily, so I figured it was fine to give them up. Only 20 years later that the regret set in.
I got a decent haul on Saturday for record store day, but it’s definitely going to take some time (and money holy crap) to build a collection again!
These plastic caps are a travesty! Paper roll of 100 or GTFO.
But also yes.
