I don’t get it. Is this about racism or pedophilia (or both)?

19·4 个月前I don’t think people appreciate how close any society is to a small extremist ideology taking over. Democracy and freedom are not inherent. They must be continuously defended to prevent small interest groups from corrupting the system and taking over control from within. Look at the legal bribery and oligopoly the US has become, or what it may be shifting towards now. This is all enabled by the “silent majority” playing the “and then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me” game.
I’d love to have a transporter but the US don’t have a great selection of vans. The mini vans are too small, and the transits are too big. I’d love a transporter, or something like a delica. The problem with the ID buzz is the range.
I just want a van 😭

From tptacek on ycombinator:
OK, I think I found the original thing Rockenhaus was convicted of. Back in 2014, Rockenhaus worked for a travel booking company. He was fired. He used stale VPN access to connect back to the company’s infrastructure, and then detached a SCSI LUN from the server cluster, crashing it. The company, not knowing he was involved, retained him to help diagnose and fix the problem. During the investigation, the company figured out he caused the crash, and terminated him again. He then somehow gained access to their disaster recovery facility and physically fucked up a bunch of servers. They were down a total of about 30 days and incurred $500k in losses. (He plead this case out, so these are I guess uncontested claims).

It’s too early to tell his current political affiliation or motivation. The right is saying he was dating his trans roommate and pissed at Kirk’s anti-trans stance. The left is saying he was so far right that he believed Kirk was too liberal. Everything is speculation. The only people with thorough knowledge of his motives are the investigators.
