1·3 years agoLove that song. I’ve been a fan of The Stone Roses since 1989.

Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Took a peek on Reddit, it really boggles my mind how oblivious and obedient people are.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Reddit starts to force open subredditsEnglish
1·3 years agoI call bullshit. I just checked, and r/tumblr is still private, and I’m willing to bet that the huge modlist for r/AdviceAnimals indicates that this list of mods is the list of mods before the blackout. What’s more, r/AdviceAnimals is hardly a sub critical enough to force open.

Technology@beehaw.org•Online Commentator's take on the ongoing enshittification of the internet (Discord's next)English
4·3 years agoI can’t handle discord. It’s far too chatty for me.
This is happening for me, except it’s old posts that are popping up at the top of the feed, some weeks old. It’s very annoying, and makes it difficult to catchup.

Music@beehaw.org•What song is currently living rent free in your head?
2·3 years agoCry - Carly Rae Jepsen. I get earwormed by that song on the regular.

Menopause@lemmy.world•‘I started to unravel’: Why do so many women over 40 struggle with stress?
2·3 years agoIt’s not odd to ask at all! I am late-diagnosed with ADHD and ASD, and yes, my symptoms did get worse with menopause. It was actually the worsening of my symptoms that led me to seek diagnosis.

Autism@lemmy.world•How are you all processing this change in routine?English
2·3 years agoI miss Reddit. I really enjoy the autism focused communities there. Some of them are still but, but I’m trying not to give Reddit any clicks at the moment. Hopefully things pick up here.

Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Subscribing to communities from beehaw, lemmy.ml, and a few others stuck on "subscription pending"
2·3 years agoI’m still stuck on subscription pending for a bunch of communities. I see this both on the community list, and on the individual community pages themselves. Perhaps mods need to approve new users?
I tried Kbin this morning, but they must be overwhelmed because I couldn’t even bring up the Register page. :/

Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Subreddits you are going to miss?English
2·3 years agoI should join that, because LOL I’m in perimenopause also. Thanks for the heads up!

Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Subreddits you are going to miss?English
5·3 years agoI’m going to miss my local subreddits, like r/toronto and r/askTO. They have (had?) a very active and interesting userbase. I’m going to miss the subreddits for the games I play, like The Sims and Civ. I’m going to miss the subreddits for the TV shows I follow. I’m going to miss the lady-focused subreddits, the cute animals subreddits, the mental health subreddits (which have gotten me through so much), the science subreddits, and the news subreddits. I’m a member of so many communities there that I love. I’m going to miss them all.
Some people I know from my fandom days are going back to tumblr. I cracked open my tumblr for the first time in 6 years the other day. There’s a lot more ads now. :/
Another Reddit Refugee here! I’m looking forward to learning about this new platform. Exciting!

I’ve been doing my part and posting content I’m interested in. I hope more people do and that this site picks up.
