War criminals do get brought to justice. But it requires that their opponents fight until the war is totally won, which is not something that is often done. Most wars end in a negotiated truce. Wars like WW2 where it doesn’t stop until one side surrenders unconditionally and completely submits to occupation by the other? That’s less common. It happens, but not often. But when it does? Yeah, that’s when you get Nuremberg trials.

Do Ukraine hunt civilians? I haven’t heard anything to that effect. In fact everything I have heard about Ukrainian strategy and logistics suggests to me that they’d consider that to be a waste of a drone. And Ukraine aren’t doing so well in this war that they’d consider themselves at liberty to waste precious drones on killing random individual Russian civilians.

Well, what are the alternatives? Are you suggesting that Ukraine targets its own civilians with drones? Or are you suggesting that, say, Turkiye is sending drones into Ukraine to target Ukrainian civilians?

The debris from the drone can be inspected and the type of drone can probably be identified. Different countries use different drones.

Having seen how much the EU has benefitted Europe and allowed us to defend our regional interests through (admittedly imperfect) solidarity, I’d certainly like to see ECOWAS sow and reap the same rewards, and maybe my analysis is overly simplistic, but I’d guess that a single currency is a significant part of that recipe.
As a fan of Diogenes, I feel obliged to point out that Cynicism is not the same as pessimism. Cynicism is the philosophical belief that society/civilization was a mistake and that humans would be best advised to follow the example of dogs, who are (generally) innately happy creatures who don’t worry about pointless abstract things like real estate ownership and licensing agreements.
But your (our?) generation won’t outnumber young people if young people keep immigrating.
