  • Mine works beautifully for petg but pla not so good. Trick is absolutely clean. Fingerprints are enough to ruin it. Keep using dish soap and be sure to rinse well with warm water. Forget about isopropyl! Use a fine dry microfibre cloth before printing. You can use a spray of 1L water mixed with a few drops of dish soap on the cloth but if the plate is already clean a dry cloth can be enough most of the time.

Finally make sure your first layer height is adjusted correctly. The plastic needs to he squished slightly more into the textured surface. If in doubt go closer until you are defiantly too close (like almost scraping) and then back up up again. Then you are sure.

  • There are more in this series… They are used in Denmark FYI. This one is for hospitals so the cleaning lady does not plug the vacume cleaner into the same power lines as the life saving critical equipment but its compatible in the other direction if needed. The one you posted is the same idea but for IT equipment. EDB is the Danish equivalent to IT

You’ll probably stumble upon withings, but as an owner of a watch for 8 years now I can not recommend. Their app is horrendous and pushing really hard on buying their plus subscription and just getting daily or historical information is convoluted… Okay haven’t opened the app in like 3 months now and apparently it looks quite a bit better now… I just lost trust in them. Their now older watch that I own tracks step counting terribly and heart rate monitoring is unstable.

With that said, their hardware has lasted for over 8 years now so theres that as a good thing.

  • I’ve literally used Linux for over 5 years without ever noticing middle click did anything unusual until a colleagues showed me he could magically paste things with the mouse and I had to ask how he did it. Now I use it frequently and love the feature. I just don’t understand how you “keep accidentally paste stuff all over” when I’ve never heard any of my Linux friends and colleges ever mention anything about it and like me they were supprised and happy when I showed them the feature as well.

  • Ive used the capresso for a number of years and I’ve generally been really happy with it. I can recommend it as a good entry level grinder to get started. It’s not too expensive and can last for a long time. I recently upgraded to a grinder from Eureka and been really happy with the upgrade. Gifted my old capresso to my parents who have been using a blade grinder for decades and they have been very happy with the upgrade. If you dont feel like spending too much right now it’s definetly the one to go with and then maybe if you feel like it, you can upgrade later now having more knowledge. You’ll also have a good gift to pass along to someone who is maybe less nerdy about coffee but appreciate the upgrade. Or settle with it and keep it till it wares out.
Some notes about the grinder: it’s a little uneven but still miles better than a blade grinder. Be sure to clean the inside by scraping off any deposits on the carrier around the burrs. The build up will make the grind very uneven and create lots of fines. After a clean it’s good again.

PS “Nivona Cafe Grano” is the exact same grinder just in Europe.

  • Had the only printer in my dorm room of about 70 rooms and charged just slightly less than the university did per page so naturally people printed with my printer. Made some scripts that hooked into google cloud print to log users and had spreadsheet to track funds for users and send emails about what was printed and how much funds they had left. I made mony only because people forgot they had extra funds when they moved out and never asked to get it back. Its not a lot but stil strange to me why I put so much effort into a very low profit business.

  • The “correct” answer doesnt work for led bulbs. A more modern answer would be why the hell can i only go to the room once!? Or you could get a friend/coworker to go to the room and just observe the bulb. One blink switch one, two blinks switch two etc. Lastly if you know a random switch is controlling a light in another room, why the hell is that switch not labeled if you already knew about it. Like how did this problem even arise in the first place. Also if you just want light in the room right now just turn all 3 on and go to the room.
