Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Which crush of yours are you now glad that things didn't work out with them?
3·1 year agoI had one that was my childhood friend and daughter of my mother’s best friend. We threw hints to each other and even lived together for a while due to financial constraints. I am glad she went to another as her mother ended up trying to kill my mother in a road rage. Nothing serious happened to my mother, but I was furious nonetheless and we parted ways. It’s been a decade since I heard anything of her or her mother.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the cheapest thing you had bought that by the end of its usefulness made you say "wow, this was worth a lot more than what I've paid for!"
5·2 years agoMy Logitech G203 is still alive after 8 years of constant use. Never tried to fix, but it autorepaired itself of double click (both buttons) , miss click and bad contact. At this point I am afraid of opening it to clean inside and it just cease to exist, I still clean outside tho.

26·2 years agoMy PC just won’t turn on if he is cold. No, it is not “humidity is high” or too low temperature. It just doesn’t turn on if he cold start. A little of heat on the mb and he turns on like nothing ever happened. Already replaced PSU, CPU, GPU, HDD, fans. So surely it is just a feature of my mb.

Technology@lemmy.world•Workers at companies that tested out a 4-day workweek are happier and more efficient — and firms made more money. One lawmaker says it's 'here to stay.'English
75·3 years agoThe major problem is to overcome the “More work hours = more production” mindset. In subdeveloped worlds, this is so engraved in society that news like that seems “communist propaganda”

Fear not, the dark, my friend. And let the feast begin.
