I have used a couple sellers on eBay to purchase dual shock and Xbox wireless controllers in the past. One offered a lifetime warranty for their work (although who knows how that would have actually worked out). I’ve used that Xbox controller for 5 years now without issues.
Some people are passionate about controller repair and customization and make it a hobby they can make some side cash on. Find one of those passion project stores and you may be pleasantly surprised.
This would be fun in very specific use cases and for a very specific audience of people. But otherwise it’s a lot of trouble and people would hate doing it most of the time. A true gimmick.
The right way to use one certainly doesn’t feel elegant. You just have to flip it around a lot while facing down at the sink and hope you don’t snipe a spider on the ceiling by accident.
Can you recommend a brand? I’ve been thinking about switching over.
Besides the obvious enshitification and shrinkflation going on in this game, I think this is going to accidentally ruin some people’s private draft nights when they discover they don’t have enough packs to run it for their attendees.
They are really testing the patience of their loyal customers these past couple years. And I’ve officially had enough and called it quits after Duskmourn.

It’s an environment issue for them, their belief system and past experiences shape their decisions. The DNC had opportunities for real change and did not take them, and that feeds into the establishment/ “drain the swamp” rhetoric. Calling people stupid isn’t going to help anything, they are heavily misinformed and tuned out living in a busy world. I don’t give them a full pass here, but if we’re going to change anything we need to figure out how to communicate with this segment and recognize their grievances.
A large chunk of the population gets their info from Fox News and News Max etc. Many of my extended family unfortunately. They think that is reliable information and can’t be convinced otherwise. When I try to bring up facts they give me this look like I’m the crazy one spreading the lies. It’s a really sad state of affairs, they are genuinely good people otherwise. I think there are too many assumptions that people just wanted what we’re about to get.
Exactly why I heavily limit the amount and specifics of what my kids watch on it. Sadly I know too many kids that have been literally raised on YouTube, and they already act weird af.
Not all men are evil… There are many of us out there fighting for women’s rights. Sorry that so many feel they need to resort to this, I guess I get it though.
Even that isn’t enough unless you have a lot of money laying around and some kind of support network in whatever country you plan to escape to.

First thought I had when I read this was “I don’t remember being asked this question”. This feels like when a game or small business schmoozes a tabloid to give them a “best of” award. They are building echo chambers around their business to justify profitable decisions.
I just happened to pick up Okami for my PS2 last week, and I’ve been so captivated by the game and the amazing art style. Love this rendition of it!
The most tragic thing about power creep to me is that older cards with very unique artwork will not see the light of day again. Another artist, Quinton Hoover, is one of my favorites that has had nearly all his cards become useless. Regeneration is amazing art.
