I do see a trend with the conservative base here where getting them to admit they are wrong about ANYTHING is like a personal attack and they simply are not equipped with the emotional prowess and maturity needed to learn from it.

I’ve been using Nobara. If you are looking for an open system to tinker with, it is a great choice. It runs with pretty bleeding edge packages though.


I really don’t understand this. I put a fairly popular Linux distro on my son’s computer and never needed to touch the command line. I update it by command line only because I think it’s easier.
Sure, you may run into driver scenarios or things like that from time to time, but using supported hardware would never present that issue. And Windows has just as many random “gotchas”.

When I worked at Ruby Tuesday, any time a wrong order was made, or something was sent back for any reason, it would get thrown out. They wouldn’t give it to their employees, they wouldn’t donate it. This was back in 2007. But I thought it was pretty crappy then. Not sure if they still do this.
