Android is NOT open source. AOSP is, but the android distributions you get on a retail phone add proprietary and closed source features atop AOSP. It is at best open-core but even that is questionable given the release cadence of AOSP

I exclusively use Matrix for social experiences. I’m in servers and group chats for clubs, communities, and even Lemmy instances. Works great

The Mac ecosystem has its own set of tooling for this. It uses Apple’s Rosetta 2 for x86 to ARM translation, and their Game Porting Toolkit (GPTK) for DX12 to Metal (Apple’s proprietary graphics API) translation.
(Should note that Asahi doesn’t have full support for M4 Macs yet so I’m assuming they’re on MacOS)
That use case makes it sound like you’re looking for a vector editor, like Krita

Bring it but powered off in a faraday bag. If an emergency strikes you’ll be glad to have the option.

Fascist collaborators to their core
Lmaoo, I see your name now you’re funny
We still do research and have lots of work to do before a paper even begins lol
This is not what libadwaita is. Libadwaita is their modern unified library for the adwaita theme

Non car transportation exists, trains will get your goods to the store but vastly more efficiently. But you’re probably baiting anyway you car brained hyper individualist dweeb

This isn’t true, they’ve supported other devices in the past. They’ve been Pixel-focused for the security features that other manufacturers haven’t offered
I’m the type of fish to brag about eating the bait
You say that like the reason for those things isn’t because of the design of the cities. It is exactly advocating for the car centric design that keeps it car centric down here. Sincerely somebody who’s lived in the south their whole life but doesn’t think cars should define your life
NYC being 75% drivers makes no sense to me. Obviously it has a lot of people driving but if you’ve ever been you’d know most locals are on the subway or their two feet for most trips

They are adding “AI” features in a collaboration with Intel, but luckily they’re minor additions like ML based noise reduction

Yeah you’d really only say it on the theoretical side of things, I’ve definitely heard it in research and academia but even then people usually point to the particulars of their work first
The training is a huge power sink, but so is inference (I.e. generating the images). You are absolutely spinning up a bunch of silicon that’s sucking back hundreds of watts with each image that’s output, on top of the impacts of training the model.

I don’t really have issues with them aside from the youtube mirrors 🤷♂️ and even then libredirect lets you set fallbacks so I just stack them and rarely have problems

When I have to use a big tech platform I use a privacy preserving proxy site like invidious for youtube. The LibRedirect extension for Firefox makes it really easy and has a surprising number of sites it can serve mirrors for
For keybinds, there is the project Toshy which redirects keys to emulate Mac bindings. It has some issues but works pretty well in my experience
