  • I’d wait for Valve Frame to come out.

It’s supposed to be around the price of Index, hopefully less expensive.

Primarily because of Meta’s track record of breaking their headsets with software updates, it’s also going to be significantly lighter at the front, which is important. And will have eye tracking with foveated streaming.

For the last month, every time I tried to jump into VR I had a bug that prevented me from using the headset completely, so I’d just choose to play on PC instead.

I trust Valve to make a much more hastle-free experience than Meta at this point. And be probably switching myself as long as the price in my region allows for it.

  • Terraria at it’s core is about boss progression.

Here are the mandatory ones in order of completion:

    1. Wall of flesh (<= after beating it is when the fun part starts, early game is kinda sluggish)
    2. 3 Mechanical bosses
    3. Plantera
    4. Golem
    5. Lunatic Cultist
    6. Moon Lord

The rest is prep work for each one.

    • Collecting NPCs and making housing for them
    • Collecting weapons, armour, accessories
    • Building arenas for bosses
    • Building farming locations
    • Defeating optional bosses for more powerful loot
    • Grinding defeated bosses for specific drops

    What I usually do is:

    1. Build starter house
    2. Go mining
    3. Go exploring
    4. Beat corruption/crimson boss
    5. Make housing for NPCs
    6. Make a hellevator
    7. Make wall of flesh arena, beat it with dynamite
    8. Lots and lots of gear grinding
    9. More prep work for mechanical bosses

The last 2 repeat for each boss that’s on the list and often include beating other bosses or events for their loot.

  • I use a blank 75% keyboard.

For the numbers, I use F and J as points of reference to find whatever number I need. This is enough for a majority of cases, and I haven’t been using a numpad for most things in the first place.

4 and 5 above F, 6 and 7 above J, 0 is 3rd from the right, 1 and 2 are two leftmost. The rest are handled by the process of elimination.

But when I need to fill out spreadsheets worth of data, I just use a Bluetooth numpad that also doubles as a calculator. For that purpose, it’s just too convenient. And no, QMK layers didn’t help in my case. It would help if I used ortholinear keyboard, however.
