Habit Hero — Gamified Habit Building@lemmy.today•What habit took you the longest to make "automatic"?English
1·16 days agoI can definitely relate to that. I think that’s why I’ve started moving away from the idea that habits should be “automatic.”
For me, the goal is to make them easier to return to after life inevitably gets in the way. A bad week shouldn’t erase months of progress or make you feel like you’ve failed.
The calendar point is interesting too. I wonder if the real challenge isn’t remembering the habit itself, but remembering to check whatever system you’re using to track it.

21·2 months agoI like it but you definitely need to work on the edit code part. I love how it is not a paid product, not many people create free tools.

1·3 months agoYeah I think I get that too. Simpler tools tend to feel more “calm” to use. Modern apps often feel like they’re competing for your attention all the time.

Reddit@lemmy.world•Reddit starting to feel more bot driven and controlled lately
11·3 months agoYeah I get the frustration, moderation on big platforms can definitely feel inconsistent sometimes.
I think the part I relate to more is just missing those smaller, more normal community discussions, especially niche stuff like sports where it’s just people chatting and sharing takes.

21·3 months agoIt’s not really trying to compete with the Fediverse or replace it. It’s more just me experimenting with a smaller, simpler space, less noise, less complexity, more low-pressure interaction.
So the “advantage” (if any) is really just that kind of vibe, not some big technical leap.
And no, it’s not open source right now. It’s just a small project I’ve been building and figuring out as I go.

21·3 months ago😭 yeah that’s exactly the kind of thing I was not trying to sound like just a small project, nothing that deep.

11·3 months agoI get why it can come across that way , those kinds of posts are everywhere now.
That wasn’t really my intention though. I just mentioned it because it came from the same feeling I was talking about, not to push anyone to use it.
If it’s not your thing, that’s completely fine.
Thx for the comment👍
I use emojis cause I was told I was boring idk what to do now so , but thx for the feed back edit: there are only two emojis 🤣
