  • I can’t afford candy. A candy bar at the Walmart is $1.25. I have to make my own confections. They fuckin suck.

Try this: prepare 2 boxes of great value brownie mix in massive 9x13 roasting pans. Put 1 bottle of great value off branded vanilla flavored corn syrup and 5 cups of sugar to a pan and heat it to 320F. Add 2 sticks of great value butter and 1 pint of great value whipping cream. Stir until smooth. Dump in 1 jar of great value honey roasted peanuts and stir then dump it all onto the brownies, half and half. Wait a couple of minutes for it to skin over the top and dump on 2 bags of great value milk chocolate chips, one on each pan, then cover both pans for a while until the chocolate melts and very lightly run a spatula across the top to smooth it out without messing up the caramel layer. Put in the refrigerator until the chocolate sets up hard. Cut each pan into 16 bars.

It will remind you of a time a long time ago back when you could afford candy.

You just have to do it. People talk about writer’s block and it’s a real thing. Sometimes you have to force yourself to produce. Will it be good? Maybe, maybe not. But your objective isn’t to write good, that’s what editing is for. No matter how good you think it is, your writing isn’t good until you edit it. And nobody talks about editor’s block.

  • The constant bombastic music is absolutely terrible. Jingle jingle jingle jazzy jazzy BELLS BELLS BELLS BELLS DING DANG DONG And remember, if you complain, it means you don’t want any presents this year!!

Also it’s MERRY CHRISTMAS not HAPPY HOLIDAYS even though there’s advent, christmastide, St John’s Day, St. Nicholas Day, all those funny South American holidays, all Christian holidays celebrated at this time that are not Christmas. But JESUS is the reason for the season.

  • If you want a government with the kind of regulatory power to “put all this nonsense on hold” why not use that regulatory power to generate cleaner energy and solve the problem? The current clean energy sources we have right now are cheaper than what’s currently being used for energy generation. They’re also faster to get online and can be put in more places. The reason we’re not using those sources right now is because of politics, not economics or technology. The solution to environmental damage caused by energy production is to use cleaner energy. Stopping people from using technology on the user level won’t do much of anything.
