I saw someone comment on another platform that the helmet wasn’t really necessary in Holland. Apparently it’s because they have well-designed lanes where cars don’t mince up cyclists on the daily.

Helmets and high-vis are a good idea, but surely this is just tinkering around the edges as long as we have politicians complaining about cycle lanes.

I thought so, and there are some measurable improvements (married women are allowed to work now, for example). But women are unequal here in many ways still such as wage disparity and the typical long list of issues that aren’t taken seriously because they don’t affect men.

That’s fairly shocking alright. And I come from a formerly catholic country (Ireland) which continues to treat women terribly.

The most misogynistic and homophobic men I know (family, unfortunately) would be fine with this, but every step in representation counts as progress.

The world seems radicalised until you ask people to do anything like boycotting. I hope my cynicism is misplaced, but I don’t know how Zionist-linked products are still in our shopping carts when we have apps making it easier then it has ever been in human history to boycott.
