Jeg hører en masse forskellige engelske podcasts. Før DR flyttede sine ting over i DR Lyd hørte jeg også fra DR, men når det ikke er i min alm. app glemmer jeg dem.

Det er jo sygt provokerende, men det var også et elendigt valg at give fredsprisen til Machado som jo på ingen måde har arbejdet for fred. Generelt fortolker Nobelkomitéen kriterierne for at uddele fredsprisen helt skørt.

Well, that’s what our people did yesterday. Even if Vance is a piece of shit he’s not deranged like Trump, and Rubio is also someone you can have a productive discussion with as a foreign nation provided, of course, that the racist grandpa in charge of your nation calms down for a second and stops posting lies about Greenland every 30 minutes.

That’s not the point, though. The point is to try and change the narrative to be more, shall we say, fact-based. And maybe talk to someone less mental than Trump.

This is not a toddler, this is a guy bigger than you and with lots of guns and friends. Talking is our only option, especially because it means we can also go against the narrative that Denmark cannot defend Greenland.

Which is true in isolation, but that’s why we’re in NATO and the joint arctic command and have the 1951 deal with the US that you guys can scale up military presence in Greenland at will. Yet it hadn’t happened in 20 years, only reductions.

Personally I think we should have gone more into how Biden refused to increase the defense of the arctic region within the agreement, give the trumpists a way to call him names and solve the issue within the agreements we have.

Still, Lars Løkke has been doing the rounds on Fox News and elsewhere to give our perspective, which could influence public opinion and help change the false narratives being spread in the US. From our perspective we had everything to gain from a meeting and very little to lose.

Jeg ved ikke hvor i landet du er, men det kunne give god mening at få en der bor tæt ved til at hjælpe :) Hvis man ikke er super teknisk kan det godt være en lille smule skræmmende.

Sanctions and kicking troops out would all but guarantee a US intervention, especially because we respect the 1951 agreement which means the US has a direct right to build and maintain bases on Greenland and have done so for 75 years. We’re trying to respect international law, not undermine it.

If you think the EU or Denmark sanctioning or taking aggressive action against the US does anything but bring misery to ourselves you’re politically naive. It’d be the exact pretext the hawks surrounding the president needs.

Now, if anything does happen re Greenland I expect we’ll start selling off US bonds, as would many other countries. That usually has Trump backing down pretty quickly as interest rates rise.

That said, Greenland is a semi-sovereign nation within the Danish commonwealth, so they can choose to accept a US deal offering them e.g. a free association agreement or something like that, but most recent polls show 85% of Greenlanders are against a deal with the US.

Ja, det er nemligt hyggeligt :) Håber det bliver sjovt for alle, den mindste er nødt til at bruge steam deck’en og controls på den er så nederen… Men på den anden side, så hopper hun alligevel mest rundt og dør :D

Jeg har genfundet Terraria og i weekenden har jeg og mine døtre - 14, 11 & 7 - planer om at spille det allesammen. Det tror jeg bliver rigtigt skægt :) Det er ikke mange ting der kan samle på tværs af sådan en børneflok uden at der er nogle der vil gå på kompromis.

Det er lige så aktivt som folk gør det til, og hvis man vil have mere aktivitet skal man jo bare… være aktiv. Man kan ikke bare læne sig tilbage og vente på andre gør noget. Det er i hvert fald mit perspektiv!
