One thing to remember is to actually accomplish anything, we would need to have a significant percentage across the whole country with organization and specific demands. The problem is that’s like organizing the entire European Union plus a bit to a cause. Not impossible, but monumental, especially with backwards outliers who actively want this.

There’s outrage. There’s been outrage for years. But there’s little path for it to be effective. A mosquito has little effect on an elephant. Especially when the mosquitoes are deliberately kept isolated.

How about they instead focus on the inconceivably vast statistical improbability of the 2024 election instead. Probably more domestic interference than foreign, but still.

That’s another reason to give businesses as little information as possible. Just assume everyone you do business with will be hacked at some point.

There are plenty of other legitimate uses for VPNs that would cause real issues if they were banned. But that also wouldn’t stop smaller VPNs or peer-hosted options. As another commenter said, this isn’t about protecting children, it’s just authoritarian surveillance.

US leadership should be penalized from their own personal wealth for messing things up in the first place.

With perfect surveillance, any crime would be solvable. But zero privacy means there’s no true freedom.
