That’s already a much more sensible view on anti work than i’m used to, I can see the argument in this. However there will be such ethically wrong jobs in the current system for as long as they don’t get automated away.
Once that happens things could get even worse for the people dependent on such jobs, so we need to fight on forcing the wealth created by automation to be shared, either through UBI or some other system… This would partially eliminate that dependency maybe?

True that one is indeed a bit overkill compared to MCUs, but I’ve worked with it extensively and it I indeed able to be used bare metal through xboot/awboot. It’s larger cousins like the v851s and T113-S3 aren’t as easy though.
The cheapest thing you could still run linux on would probably be an Allwinner F1C100s, you can get those in bulk for about 2 £

I’m not sure i see the point of that as a product. Tuta mail makes sense because e-mail is genuinely hard to setup and get verified against (most of the time you’ll get flagged as a bot if you self host). But a drive, really?
All it takes is a couple of old drives in raid 1, bonus points for a proper NAS distro with ZFS and you’re up, a simple wireguard to get access anywhere along a free DNS url and you’re all set, you don’t need to trust anyone over files, even as a remote backup the actual service doesn’t matter if you deeply encrypt the backup file.
